Hey all,

In case you didn't know, there will be a 5 K road race held at Meigs High School on November 29 at 11:00 am. This is the 7th year that we have held the race and the turn out has been pretty good. I know that several area HS runners make the journey every year and I appreciate them greatly for participating.

The race benefits the Brandi Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund which provides scholarships for MHS grads who participated in CC and T&F while in high school. Brandi Thomas was a runner for Meigs when she was in a fatal car accident in 2002.

We would love to have any area runners who are keeping up a winter run schedule to come out and join us on Saturday. Maybe you can run off some of that turkey. For future reference, by the way, the race is always on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
