Me too noreply. That was one very wet and cold mess last year!
We'll have the same great food again this year, so bring your appetite for the 1/2 pound grilled burgers and brats!

Noreply Jackson's girl discus thrower will not be at the Invitational because she is going to the Youth in Government program that weekend. If the Athens girl Pimento is there she could win it, she was there last year but was pretty rusty as she shares time with the Softball team, she didnt even get to throw at league last year. However I think the Fulks girl from Jackson who is a freshman sprinter could be a surprise this year . She ran in the 12s for the 100 meter as an 8th grader. Our record is 12.5 and I think she is a threat to eventually break it if she stays healthy. What does the Morgan girl run time wise for the 100 meter?

Do you not think Southern will win any event?

I'd have to go with the girl from Morgan in the Discus if the girl from Jackson will not make it. Fulks just might win the 100 with that speed.

I'm surprised that Jackson is the only SEOAL school coming to this. Most SEOAL schools are within a reasonable driving distance from Nelsonville. Do the other schools have another invite to attend that date? I would think the three final spots could go to Logan, Warren, Gallia Academy or Marietta.
Or maybe some of the closer MVL and MSL teams.....Crooksville and New Lexington from the MVL or Fairfield Union, Liberty Union, or Amanda Clearcreek from the MSL.
I don't think there is a nicer track facility in the area, teams should be on a waiting list for this event.

Warren goes to Meadowbrook that weekend, but NY has the best facility other than Marietta. I guess NY is the Best stand-alone facility seeing that Marietta's is maintained with the help of the College

Logan travels to Watkins Mem. for a meet this weekend but later on they have a meet at NY that will also have Warren being there.
NY does have a nice place for track. With Logan opening up their new track in a few weeks it might jump in a little a head of NY. I'm waiting to see how the Mingo Relays go before comparing it to the Rocky Boots Invite. I'm hoping that Logan can get the support with the Mingo Relays that Nelsonville York get with Rocky Boots.
I'm traveling to the Rocky Boots Invite. next weekend. With the number of teams going to be there its sounding like it will be a good one.
