If everyone comes out for Logan that was left after the seniors graduated I can see Logan's boys getting near 200 points. 2nd will be a fight between Gallipolis and Warren.
Jackson has a chance to make a strong showing if things fall into place.Chillicothe lost a lot of talent from last year as did Portsmouth.
On the girls side it looks like Chillicothe will take its 2nd straight champion ship.
Gallipolis should take second and it might be a real fight for third between Logan and Warren.

Don't sell coach may and the gallia girls short. They should be very good with the middle school girls coming up. I think bosch in her second year will bring logan back into the mix.

Gallipolis [girls] didn't look to have too much coming up from the middle school--if I remember

Based on the meets i saw last spring i think the TVC and the SVC will have stronger freshman classes than the SEOAL. I don't expect too much change from last season but we'll see who may or may not run or if injuries play a role.

I hope with logan not having coach fraun no more that the runners will still come out and run. If it was me i would still want to run so i could win for him.

I went to several meets of the middle schools last year where in the area of four different league were going up against each other and the top teams were Zane Trace,Vinton Cty,Belpre,Warren,Marietta Logan both girls and Boys
My top school would be rated in this order
Girls
1. Logan
2. Athens
3. Marietta
4. Vinton County
5. Warren
Boys
1. Zane Trace
2. Logan
3. Warren
4. Marietta
5. Belpre

Warren should be toward the top, the one that everyone should be worried about is Cole Wigal from Warren. He finished the season pole vaulting with a 12'4" that got him 3rd in the nation for his age group at the nationals in New Orleans last spring and he is only a freshman this year and he should have some support from some others from the freshman class, Coach Riffey is really excited about the season.

I have Warren behind Logan and Zane Trace because they finished second to Logan in the league meet and Logan Lost to Zane Trace.

The league meet has been moved to Warren so Riffey gets to host the league meet for the first time.

I remember the meet at Nelsonville York where going into the 4x400 Athens girls were up by two points over Logan. Logan had to win the race and Athens had to finish third or worse for Logan to win but Athens blew the field away to take a 3 1/2 point win over the Chiefs 132.5 to 129. What hurt the lady Chiefs was the two distant runners for Athens.

Sounds like Jackson has some of their athletes running along with the athletes that return......the boys could be pretty strong!

Jackson boys should be strong in the league in the sprints. 100 ,200 and 400 should score points as well as the short relays. Fulks for the girls should have a fine individual league showing. Throws will be a question mark for both. Some potential there both boys and girls, it will depend on how things develop.

If the portsmouth girls basketball players run track they might be a force in the league.

It will be interesting to see who will be back and running this year. It seems like every year there are a few talented athletes you decide not to go out for their team and then there a re a few first timers who make an impact.

prediction: Girls SEOAL: it will come down to the 4 x 400 between Chillicothe and Gallia. Chilli should be strong in the field and gallia will be strong in distance.

I Would really like to see all of the top athletes that don't play baseball or softball come out for track. If we had all the talent in the SEOAL running track, The league meet would be a fantastic finish to the 2012 athletic season.
