Southeast District Indoor Track Meet
Posted: Tue Feb 10, 2009 11:08 pm
Coach Buchanan from Fairland asked me to post the following update about this meet:
Dear Southeast District Coaches and Athletes,
There will be some changes to the entry process for the SEOTCA Indoor Track meet on February 27,2009 at Marietta College. The meet management at Marietta has expressed that holding the meet as we had discussed earlier(SE athletes in heats with only other SE athletes) would be virtually impossible for them. It would also be extremely difficult to limit the entries of athletes from a certain school to two per event.
Because of these factors, we have decided to allow schools to enter as many athletes as they wish in each event with no entry guidelines. The meet will essentially run the same as the regular meet would run but the Southeast District athletes will be eligible to receive awards. The first place finisher in each event from the SE district will receive an SEOTCA District Indoor Champion Tshirt and places 2nd and 3rd will receive a ribbon. We will get the results from Marietta College after the completion of the event, identify the top 3 finishers from the Southeast District and pass out awards accordingly.
Entries for this meet should go through: www.directathletics.com and entries should be placed under the Marietta High School #4 tab.
