With 8 teams it appears that this would be a district all unto itsself. Not going to columbus would be nice

That would be fine --if they had it to where it was somwhere in the middle-- Not like New Philly traveling to Hillsboro or them going to New Philly.Too much of a hardship.
Traveling can take it out of you at times.

Have their own and run it at Athens

I believe they will have their own and it will be at logan this year. The D1 girls will be shipped to the central district.

Logan or Athens would be a good place.

Having it at Hillsboro would be too long of a trip for New Philly and the same with Hillsboro going to NewPhilly.

With the cost of gas they need to keep teams from taking long trips.

new philly has a "blind" band box around the 200 meter turn-they can't host a district meet
they have a nice stadium and fotball field
newcomerstown hosted in 2006 it was nice also

According to the southeast district board and the ohsaa web site, the D1 boys will be in zanesville and the girls will be in the central district.
