My picks

Steven Rhue - Athens - 1600

Phillip Dakhoverts - Athens - 800

Brandon Gates - Belpre - 3200

I think that Athens runner Ben McAdoo, Fed Hocks Lamaur Buck, and Eastern's Mike Johnson could be a threat in about any of the distance events

Boys 800

Dakhnovets--At.
Johnson-----Eastern
Buck--------FH

Girls-800

Els------Alex
Jung----At

1600 Boys

Rhue-----At
Buck-----FH

1600-----Girls

Brooks-----Alex

3200 Girls

Brooks--------Alex
Houser--------At

3200 Boys

Gates----Belpre
Buck-----FH

If Buck would just do two of these races he would have a lot better chance to win one of them

good predictions...have any of you heard about the training process these runners have so far? I've heard Buck is training a lot right now and he is also doing indoor track...so this might give him better chances for winning 2 or even more events.

Buck shouldn't run 800/1600/3200--just too much

I think it would be a mistake to overlook Kody Wolfe from Southern in the 3200 even though he is just a freshman.

I remember Kody Wolfe from XC he was very decent. He will be a good competition for other runners. I've heard that Dakhnovets will be pretty good this year, he improved a lot since the XC season

Wolfe slipped my mind. Wolfe will also be in the hunt for a lot of the distances races.

Since Fed Hock isn't a school with a lot of distance runners, Buck will have to run all of the races for points. Hopefully their XC program will gain some momentum and Buck will have a stronger supporting cast.

Buck just might beable to finish higher in two races for more points than less point in three races.

Well you're forgetting about the new freshman Kody Wolf from southern. I'm sure he'll give all the distance runners a run for their money. In jjr high school he ran a 4:54 mile with trainers on no exact on the time. And he also ran a 2 mile with a time of 10:32 i think. So these will be some good races. And be looking out for Southern's NEW 4x800 relay team for the guys.

I would give the edge to buck from FH.

OK here are some numbers:
At the state middle school meet last year Wolfe ran the 3200 in 10:34.72, compared to Buck at the TVC meet who did it in 10:47.82 - edge goes to Wolfe.
In the 1600 Buck ran 4:46.19 at TVC's while Wolfe completed in 4:59.46 at the state meet - edge goes to Buck.
That's probably the best available comparison.
It is going to be exciting to see them on the track!
Obviously I am going to be rooting for Southern, but I'm proud of all the kids out there on the track giving it their best.

I think Kody Wolfe will be someone to look out for. As well as Cody Hanning from Meigs! These two set each other's pace and push each other!

I'd say its down to who ever puts in the work during the off season and how they prepare in the days before and of the meet.

You can't overlook the fact that Wolfe may just be better with a longer distance, you see that a lot in distance runners.

Doesn't Athens have a girl named Sierra F. or something like that? I seem to remember hearing her name at xc races....
