Need Info That Is Pro Pole Vault

Post by RUNRV »

I went to the SEOTCA meeting on the 16th and should have asked this question there. Anyhow...

River Valley opened a new school this year and has a chance to have a new track in 2011. Some concerns exist over having a pole vault facility and pole vaulters. River Valley has existed since 1992 and never has had a pole vaulter.

Can anyone put me in contact with a resource (person, website, book, etc.) that is 1) pro pole vault and 2) will answer any concerns a person may have about the event? I guess for starters, one concern that was asked of me was the need for additional insurance.

Coach Fraunfelter from Logan would be a good place to start. Also, Marty Dahlman from Watkins Memorial is a great resource. It's been awhile, but their website (watkinstrack.org - I think) used to have some links concerning vaulting.
