you got to be kidding me, its 1:42 and i am just walking in the door from our district meet. you talk about a bunch of bullcrap.
whos idea was it to have 2 district meets the same time. why in Gods name would you want to do that to these kids. over 40 schools
competing at the same time thats bull@$$%. started out on a 45 min delay finish line equipment didnt work. the endless heats that had to be run for every event, took almost 5 hours to get through the first 6 races. i could go on and on, oh and wait for the vault tomorrow that should take several hours , with 52 vaulters between the 2 districts.
whos friggen idea was this anyhow!! i want to take the state award for "respect the game" i got a few years ago and run it up the O H S A A 's commissioners rear end for their lack of respect to our kids and all the other kids they screwed over tonight.

no reason for kids to becoming home at that time.
That even has bus drivers being in danger

It was easy to see that this could happen and OHSAA continued to let it go.
looks like they need some new people running that show.

52 Vaulters...and they are probably opening at 10'6". I am a firm believer that you should have qualifying heights for the vault at the district level. good luck to the poor soul who is working the event. 6 hours at least.

I second team xc comments. The bus pulled into chilli at 12:40.

The delay because of the camera was crazy. The heats of 3 girls running when 4 qualified for the next race was stupid.

The did listen to an opinioniated coach from ross county to start the meet and just take the places in the prelims other wise it would have been 45 more minutes.

I asked them earlier 10:00 pm to call for all 3200 runners and have them check in so that they could decide if they were going to run the race. I have seen them call for check ins for races for indoor track and it seems to work.

maybe the meet should have started at noon. We might have made it back by 9:00

I want my boys and girls to be in the same place in the same division. I want a reasonable drive to the meet and a meet that lasts 5 hours or less.

Ladies and gentlemen, I STRONGLY suggest that you direct your thoughts to [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected] OR to ALL of them.

I shall repeat this until I am no longer around to say it - if we do not speak out individually which then becomes a huge group we will never accomplish anything. Let them know what is going on and do it loudly!

Don't know if it is true or not but I heard from a parent that the DI 4x4 was run after 11:00 pm. If so that is ridiculous.

That means the Marietta girls who ran the 4x4 and coach who is a teacher would have gotten home around 2:00 am and then had to have been to school at 7:40 in the morning. I am sure many of them will come in late, if at all, but that is what the OHSAA is asking them to do.

ABSURD!!!

And several Marietta girls had to go back the next day (wed.) for field events. Congratulations to Marietta High's LeAnne Ross for qualifying for regionals in the long jump and high jump and Paige Grosel in the pole vault. BTW, the last vault was about 9:45.
