District at Oak Hill Div. III Girls

Post by buddyholly »

Congratulations to the Lady Eastern Eagles for winning the district title at Oak Hill. Girls, you showed all of Southeastern Ohio how talented you are and what a great coaching staff you have. Coach Josh Vogle and his staff did an awesome job. So I say to you CONGRATS!!!!!

It is nice to read about the SE District meet and not see one complaint about problems with the races or not being able to find the results. Congratulations to Coach Ruby and her staff for doing a great job.

They run a very good meet.

I thought maybe there was a problem with the boys north 3200 race....but I was probably wrong.

Seemed to me like the top 4 were well ahead of the pack and I thought a couple of runners who ended up finishing in the top 8 only did 7 laps as they were about 1:20-1:30 better than their typical times....but was not paying close enough attention to guarantee it. I thought there were only 4 runners on the "lead" lap....if there were 6 then everything was correct. I just didn't think the sun and temperature were really going to have 2 kids do their best time ever by a minute and a half.

You are probably right. With the temp pushing 84 degress at 12:30-1:00pm. I would say runners slowed by at least 15 seconds in the 3200
