Competition Date: Saturday May 9, 2009

Event Information: This is an open HS dual meet tournament. You can create a team compiled of area wrestlers or club team.

Eligible Wrestlers: Your team can be made of incoming freshman (2009-2010) through current graduating seniors (2009).

Where: Nelsonville-York High School 12th St Buchtel Ohio.

Objective: Get 5 matches against tough competition and helped to develop our southeast Ohio wrestlers.

Weigh Ins/Registration: Saturday May, 9th 7:45 a.m.

Wrestling: Dual 1 9:00-10:30 a.m. Dual 2 10:30 to 12:00 Short break
Dual 3 12:15-1:45 p.m. Dual 4 1:45 to 3:15 p.m. Dual 5 3:15 to4:45

Format: 6 full teams 3 mats all 6 teams will wrestle at once. Head to head duals .

Weights: High School weight classes +5 103 = 108

Teams: We are looking for teams with FULL LINE UPS to get the best dual meets for everyone wrestling. You can have up to 17 wrestlers 3 extras to fill in if someone gets hurt or just to move them around. We can also try and get the extra matches if possible at the end of the dual time permitting. Extras can also fill in on other teams if the coaches agree. We want each kid to get as many matches as possible.

Match Lengths: 3 – 1:30 periods we will use current OHSAA overtime rule.

Entry Fee- $250 per team.$100.00 non refundable deposit due by Friday April 3rd
Remaining balance due at weigh-ins. The fee includes 17 wrestlers, 3 coaches and 1 table worker.

Admission fee: $5.00 for 18 and up and $3.00 for students.

Awards: Awards to top 2 teams

T-Shirts: We will sell tournament t-shirts.

To get your team entered: $100.00 deposit to Matt Yinger by April, 3rd check made out to Takedown Club. Or to save time at weigh-ins you can send the full amount in at any time before the event.

Headgears optional, but recommended.
Each team needs to provide a scorer at the table for scorekeeping or clock running. This person gets into the event free.
We will be using licensed officials.

We still need 3 teams. So far Nelsonville-Hammers, Zane Trace and Washington Court House are verbally committed.

You look at what Nelsonville-York, Zane Trace and Washington Court House did this past season. Only figures they would all be jumping into this event. All 3 schools are on the rise with young kids and they continue to show the off season work builds in season champions.

Tric, I have Reed and Miller from the Waterford area looking for a team, so they can wrestle this off season.

Teams that have sent out the $100.00 deposit Circleville, Nelsonville Hammers. Teams that have verbally committed Lancaster, Zane Trace and Washington Court House. We still have 1 spot open however I have not received any money from the verbal teams.
