Who wins the title this year? Athens or NY? What about the newcomer, Wahama? Who else is going to be good in the conf. this season?

After reviewing the Buckman rankings, I give NY the edge.

I will say this we at Nelsonville-York are lucky to have some kids go above and beyond what it takes to make it to the next level. However Athens has had great numbers over the last few years and some of those JV kids will be very good varsity kids this year. Nelsonville-York may have some TVC champs And 6 or 7 kids placing, but Athens will have 14 solid kids in every weight class. The TVC champs from last Year was Athens and should be untill somebody steps up to challenge them.

Nelsonville will win 5 weight classes and maybe even 6. Don't know if that will be enough to overtake Athens or not.

Heavy D, can you speculate what weight classes or names you are thinking of around the champs from Athens and NY. They are by far and away the cream of the crop this year, obviously, but I would be interested to hear who is wrestling what weights and who the "ones to beat" are. Early season targets!

No. I can't be sure who is wrestling in which weight class, nor do I want to put a target on a kids back, or chest or whatever.

I had a nice drive yesterday morn. to NY to watch the tri with Trimble & Belpre, only to find out the event had been canceled. Anyone know when and why the match was canceled? Is it going to be rescheduled?

Nelsonville-York cancelled all weekened events on Friday due to weather. Sorry you did not get the info I wish I would have thought to post it on here sorry. I hope to rescheudle with Belpre.

now Tric correct me if i am wrong but i am pretty sure that meigs had in their plans to go to NY on Saturday which would of made it a quad which would of cost the tems and extra point. To MY understanding it was going to be NY Trimble and Meigs. Please tell me if i was wrong

It was a quad. However it was a 1 point event as it was a bracket Quad first round was N-Y vs Meigs and Belpre vs Trimble then the winners would wrestles and the loosers would wrestle. Still only 2 matches = 1 point meet. Hope we can reschedule something in Jan.

ok i understand now. yeah i am helping out coach martindale this year and i think that he thought that it was a tri but yes we too hope that it can be rescheduled
