I will be working on the All-Star meet lineup over the next day and finishing it after the state meet. The following school's paid dues and will be included in the all-star meet and Coaches Association. Nelsonville-York, Logan, Logan Elm, Fairfield Union, Gallia Academy, Athens, Warren Local, Fairland, Belpre, Southeastern, Zane Trace, Alexander, Jackson, Sheridan, Circleville, Vinton County, New Lex, Paint Valley, Trimble, Miami Trace, Washington Court House Waterford and Chesapeak. The All-Star meet is done by criteria. 1. State place 2. State Qual. 3. District Place 4. District matches won. 5. The All-Star meet will be held at Logan High School on Friday March, 11th at 6:00 p.m. If your wrestler was a State Qualifier they will be invitied to participate in the all-Star meet. Please Coaches plan to attend.

If your coach elected not to pay the $20 coaches fee your school is will not be represented. This is sad if they can't come up with that to honor a wrestler deserving.

All right enough lol Jking. I don't have all the results. I have been very busy trying to get my 2 boys ready for Grade school state this weekened. Wrestler of the year DII Travis McIntosh State Champ Miami Trace, DI/DIII Carl Moody 6th State DIII Nelsonville-York. Coaches of the year are DII Louis Reed Washington Court House and DI/III Matt Yinger Nelsonville-York. $250 scholarship went to Ben Saunders Gallia Academy. I will try and post some of the results from top of my head tomorrow. Sorry just really trying to focus on Colt and Collin. We have been travelling all over for practice the last week with a group of Grade school kids.

FROM GALLIA Benjamin Saunders lost a dec. Zack Tackett wrestled to a draw 1-1 against Brewer from Fairland Brandon Taylor won a 17-1 tech fall against Caesar from Fairland. There were some Teams that did not make the trip due to High water I am sure ,as always it was very run very well and it was great to watch them all one more time

There is no overtime at the All-Star meet.

Brandon Taylor, third baseman and pitcher for the 2011 Blue Devils missed the Blue Devils games at Logan Fridday and against River Valley at home on Saturday. Heard he was entered in a wrestling tournament some where. What was the tournament and how did he finish? PS--Brandon is also one the the Blue Devils top hitters. He was sorely missed over the weekend.

Brandon wrestled at FloNationals (at Walsh Jesuit High School) over the weekend. The tournament is in its second year and attracted some of the top high school wrestlers from around the country. There were many Division I college coaches in attendance as well. Brandon went 1-2, losing his first round match to an eventual placer from New York. He won his first consolation impressively then lost his next match 6-4 in sudden victory to a kid from Michigan. His class (171 lbs) was a tough one, this year's Ohio DII champion couldn't crack the top eight. Mark Allen from Gallia Academy also competed, he lost both of his matches including a first round loss to an Illinois state champ who ended up placing fourth. Great tournament and great experience for both of these wrestlers.
