What kind of competition has he gotten? I hope he is going up against a few tough wrestlers. He needs to be ready for TVC's and Sectionals!

With a little over a week to go. i have decided i know very little about this sectional for all that i think i know. Every week someone is in a new weight class. and someone else does not wrestle. Because i have no in's at any school. i don't know if kids are hurt, resting or academically ineligible. so really until rosters come out we really know nothing. but what would be the fun in that.

So i will go and make predictions on what i think this week anyway.

    1. athens: i have them having sectional champions in 2 weight classes and 9 district qualifiers and a total of 11 sectional placers.
2.Sheridan: i have sheridan closely behind athens. with only 3 positions in the whole sectional separating the two teams. that would mean a total of 3 wreslters winning or losing just one match different would change the team title. i have sheridan with 1 sectional champion and and 11 district qualifiers and only 11 sectional placers.
    3. new lexington: i have finishing 3rd a little farther back. i have them 8 positions out of 1st. i have them having 2 sectional champs. six district qaulifiers and a total of 9 sectional placers.
    4. Gallia Academy: i have them 10 positions out of 1st place. out of all the teams i have in top 4 i see gallia with most upside. most of the 3 teams in front of them i feel about where i have them rated is about the best they can expect. Gallia i think can pull off a few upsets from where i set. i have gallia with 1 sectional champion. 6 district qualifiers and a total of 9 sectional placers. if the weight classes stay as i have them configured right now( they wont) but gallia would only be 3 matches short of having all 12 of their starters place at sectionals. i have gallia having 2 wrestlers ranked 5th and both of them have been wreslting well as of late very easily could move 8 on to districts.
5: warren local: i have them with 3 sectional champs and a total of 5 district qualifiers and 6 sectional placers.
    6. vinton county: i have vinton county with 1 sectional champ and 4 district qualifiers i have them with a total of 10 sectional placers so if they could have a good weekend could move into top 3 or 4 teams.
    7. fairland: have them with 1 sectional champ and 4 district qualifiers and 8 sectional placers
    8. fairfield union: i have one sectional champ and 5 district qualifiers and sectional placers.
    9. marietta: 1 sectional champ and 3 district qualifiers and 5 sectional placers.
    10. chillicothie. o champs. 2 district qualifiers and 6 sectional placers
    11. jacson. 1 sectional champ and 3 district qualifiers.

i have updated records on everyone except chillicothie. i was waiting to see if i got anything on baums page this week. But SEOAL will probably not have seeds and be round robin i might not get up dated records but i will post on Friday and probably again Monday or Tuesday with updates from leagues.

I'll post SEOAL seeds a little after noon on Friday on baumspage. It is a round robin tournament.

I didn't mean to say that records i have on here are updated. I just meant i have updates, and will post tomorrow. Since Deno there have been a couple of Duals and tris and i have most of those results. on here you are right not updated yet. I also have got some info on injuries that may have people out for sectionals but they are not confirmed yet.

these are the records i have thru yesterday. looking at sectional entries on baums page some wrestlers will be in different weight classes so this is just a guess. based on these entries i had tournament scoring projected as follows

    1. athens 249.5
    2. sheridan 224.5
    3. new lexington 165.5
    4. gallia academy 164
    5. vinton county 130.5
    6. vincent warren 120
    7. fairland 96.5
    8. fairfield union 93
    9. marietta 67
    10. chillicothie 52
    11. jackson 37

i think top 4 teams will be closer then this but this was just a quick look. did entire tourney in about 1 hour would take much longer to look at all head to heads and common opponents.

after seoal i may make some adjustments

following wresalters presumed out for season
    brown marietta
    hubble fairfield union
    vandelsisin new lexington

    teams wrestler weight wins loses

terrible thing with mullins not being able to compete at the finish of his senior year.
I think he would have done very well over the next few weeks

I think as soon as last sectional roster deadline which i think is tonight they will begin to post them. Because once everyone's roster is locked ot really doesn't matter if they see your seeds or brackets because all wrestlers will be locked in at competing weight.

It is terrible what happened to Mullins I honestly think he had a chance to make the top 8. Does anyone know what happened?
