I have a little info Congrats to Vinton County for winning the first ever Junior High TVC meet I guess they beat Nelsonville-York by 12 points. Nelsonville-York led the way with champions 7 Thomas Mclaughlin, Bobby Leitwein, Dakota Hook, Carl Moody, Zach Mays, Brandon McCune and Jacob Coon. 2nd place Jerrod Tolliver and Mcray Powell, 3rd place Kyle Freer Mvp was Dakota Hook. 7 Champions makes the Varsity coach a happy guy can't wait till next year when Santa Clause brings me all those 8th graders I am in need of some new presents. lol

Way to go Thomas-Bobby-Dakota-Carl-Zack-Brandon and Jacob. These seven wrestlers were by far the best in thier weight classes today! Good luck at districts next month.

I know my son stunk up the room. Not a good day at all. I was suprised Vinton won I figured NY would have won. Honestly, with what I saw out of the NY kids they have the best dynamics and fundamentals I have seen yet this year. Great Job NY wrestlers and great job coaches!!!

Otter thanks for the good words. the N-Y kids work on Technique and fundamentals daily and really work. I am sure your kid did not stink it up. No shame in loosing to Thomas. Thomas practices 6 days a week Sundays at Jordans (St. Paris Graham) About 5 of us go up. He then wrestles all summer last year at a big event in New York and then the High School Junior Olympics in Tennessee , Detroit MI AAU Nationals and many other events. Corey will be fine and continue to push Thomas to stay on top of his game. Congrats to your younger son for winning Grade School Districts.
