When was Athens last SEOAL championship? I'm thinking this one was a long time coming.

Hardrock long time coming? didn't Athens win it last year? They are the favorite to win the TVC next year at Meigs.

last athens league championship was 1985, but there were a couple sectional championships in there... congratulations to athens

i thought the refs were very fair..
gerren would have beat detty?? 2 td to zero. and controlled temp from there on out... that is good wrestling.. detty controlled the entire match

how about sopher not getting 2 takedowns at the end of periods.. and the asst. ref coming over and awarding a point for an escape after the head ref had said no..

oh well, over the course of a tourney, you are going to have some calls that you dont agree with...
were the refs for chilli... nope.. were they for athens.. nope...
very good job of officiating today

all in all, congrats to athens, they had the best team today and hats off to them...
i WILL NOT blame refs for outcomes of the matches nor for the final points in the tourney..
give credit where it is due...
detty won and deserved it..

23 years without a SEOAL champioship, I would certainly say a long time coming Tric. Congrats to Athens, represent the SEOAL well at sectionals next week. Finishing in the top 5 at this sectional would be an accomplishment in itself. It's gotta be one of the toughest sectionals in the state.
