I just received the official word from the state -- they are granting a 2 pound weight allowance for any sectional that has teams that have missed at least one day of school this week. Weigh-ins for tomorrow will be scratch +4 (103 is 107; 112 is 116; etc.)

This is not right, no way the state should do this. The wrestlers know what they have to do to make weight. All this does is help the heavy kids and hurt the ones that are light, its wrong.

Yes, this is true for southeast division 2 as well.

I would not count on the alloance carrying forward to district and state.

But its not all wrong. Some kids (such as myself) don't have a treadmill or enough space to do a nice workout. I always make weight, this +2 just takes off a little of the pressure of making weight and makes my last Sectional that much more enjoyable. IMO.

How are the 5 and 6 seeds in the same half of the brackets in some weight classes? 5 and 6 are supposed to go in opposite halves. The 5 seed has the choice on which half to goto and then the 6 automatically goes to the other half.

I am not sure what Southern Fat has going on. at 125 no way can Reed and Lump be 1 and 2 they wrestle in the semis. I did not look at it but it looks as he has this all jacked up. I love that he has Efaw over Mclaughlin.
