Relax, that was only the first meeting. Some of the boys are still in Football mode and just need a jumpstart. I think once things get going NY will have an impessive team take to the mats.

Yes only 12 showed up if that many. If everybody gets there head on straight N-Y will be very tough as always but as young men sometimes they make decisions that impact them for life. I hope they get it straight and come together because a sixth straight TVC title is at hand and without a couple guys it will be very diffucult. Congrats on a Co-TVC football championship.

I hope these boys make the right decision to participate in one of the best wrestling programs in SE Ohio! Perhaps we need to get some alum back to do an inspirational talk and get them motivated!!!

I think N-Y will be fine the Football season is over and with a weeks rest I think the Buckeye wrestlers will be ready to go my guess is 15-18 on the team with only 1 of them being a senior, Patrick Norway.

Tric, my 2 will be in the room. I know you heard one wasnt getting on the mat. But, we had along talk this weekend along with some others adding input and he has decided to be there next Monday. Just like last year. The other one will thankfully only miss a few meets while straightening the academic issues up. He is young but learning. Should be a strong team this year. All the dominos will fall into place, you will see.

We have a great 189 from Massillion Perry Dustin Schilling 6th in the state last year DI coming in to help coach, he is a Hocking College student he should be a great addition to the upper weights. I hope your younger one gets it all straightened out and the Older one gets geared up he should have a solid year with a senior year yet to come. This team is only going to get better over the next year.

Tric118...Sounds like you're going to have some great help this year! I think you're right about the rest between football and wrestling seasons. Gotta give them a break, but they'll come around.

Can't wait to see the team in action this year! GO BUCKS!!! :-D

Nelsonville always starts out slow and start wrestling better as the season gos along. I really hate to see such low numbers being a problem again since having almost 2 full rosters when i was in school. Does practice start next monday??

Yes practice starts Monday. I hope to have some old timers come back and motivate some of the youg kids to get involved. The way it sounds some good kids have decided to walk away. The 8th grade group is great and could be the best team N-Y has ever put together.

Good luck to all the NY wrestlers. You guys have all been a part of some very special teams on the mat. It would be great to see you bring home another title.
