I'm not sure they had talked about running 2 mats down the middle an bleachers out on both sides however there is room for 3 down the middle we ran the jr high tourny that way and it worked out great

GAHS 4-Ever was over to the gym around 3 p.m., and said he could not find a place to park. Officials said the tourney shoould be completed by 4:30.

The Blue Devil cagers are supposed to play Marietta for 7th place in the final SEOAL stadings. The reserve game is slated to begin at 6 p.m. Marietta may have a tough time finding a place to park busses if the tourney runs past 4:30.

Congrads to the athens high school bulldogs. They are the 2008 seoal champions. They had 4 first places and 2 second . and some 3rd and 4th places . Athens 109 pts chilli second with 89 pts . It was really funny , at the end of the meet they said chilli was the winner . Then all these score keepers came the the score table and made them re-add the pts. Than they said athens was the winner . Coach kiser was seoal coach of 2008.

Garrett Kerr had a great showing for the Tigers knocking off the #1 seed en rout to his first league championship.

Shields finishes third IMHO the toughest weight class (Frasure, Lee, Shields)

I would like to congratulate all of the Athens Wrestlers. They won inspite of the poorest refs I have ever witnessed against one team. You boys and Coach Kaiser earned every bit of what you got. See ya at Sectionals.

As i watched athens win the seoal , it was sad to think there leaving the seoal. They had all but 2 weight classes going into the finals. It was a good moment . They one thing i thought was really poor sportmanship was
one teams parnets would clap and cheer , when athens lost a match.
This is for the kids wrestling . how can we teach them to be good sports when the parnets act like that. The kids did real good together. Why should some parnets try to ruin a good thing . The athens coach and team worked real hard to get where there at.
The other teams parnets told athens people congrads and said that there sorry those other parnats were treating them in that way.
There were alot of good people there . Good luck to everyone next week .
