What teams will be there this year? will the number of teams be the same?
it looks to me like if all wrestlers made weight last year then there were 60 wrestlers at tourney that did not draw in to tourney. 20 of them looked like teams starters or Athens "B" team wrestler.
it seems to me if there are 23 teams this year there will be many more starting wrestlers who do not draw in. i say that because a lot of teams numbers seem to be up this year. which is a good thing.
How is it determined what wrestlers get it? do they go weight class by weight class and seed the top 16? or do they let full teams get all there wrestlers in and then choose. it just seems to me like some thing could be done about this. its too bad Athens couldn't do something like Miami trace did last weekend.
With the kids that will have more then 16 (starters in a weight class). are there coaches notified before they get their which of their kids are in or out, before or after they get there?
not that i think it is a bad thing to have the best 16 kids in a weight class. makes for better competition. but if a lot of kids don't get in maybe a coach could use his points differently.
i don't know we will see. hope it is a great day of wrestling.
after doing some quick checking on baums page seems if same teams are there this year as last year. there would be probably almost 40 starters not get in.
hopefully one less team is coming or a couple i could not find will be down a couple of wrestlers.
oh well it is what it is. looking forward to saturday.

i understand your post but if teams schedules are correct their are either going to be less teams there or different teams.
this doesnt seem to be on, new lexingtons schedule, or wellston, or heath, and i had heard simon kenton wasn't coming. but a lot of times schedules on websites can be wrong. even some times when teams are listed on website for tourney there not there but. it seems either teams will be different or less teams.

I think Coffman brought their B team down last year. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case again this year. That would definitely add some depth to the team race, and Murdock is the real deal @ 126

according to the team results i dont believe dublin coffman has ever been to Deno before at least not in last several years.
i think team race will be pretty competitive and deep anyway.
athens, nelsonville york, simon kenton, new lexington and gallia will all do pretty well here. I don't really know much about dublin coffman from team aspect of things to know if they are tough up and down roster or not.

It will be a great match I think it was very close last year however year to year things change and Coon has around 8 losses to Mullins 1 or 2. Could be much different this year

That's what I was meaning on your comment from last years match. I agree it would be good close match, one that I was anticipating on seeing. Good luck to you and your team tomorrow

Curiosity kills the cat:
Where was new Lexington's team at the Deno, did they all lose twice and leave early?

My apologies, NL did not have their varsity there, they had a JV squad.
