GAHS is going to be strong this year and should have a full team all weight classes filled. I don't know if this is their year yet but I can tell you their time is coming plenty of kids worked in the off season this year summer camps and tournaments going to be a great year for wrestling in the seoal for sure

Gallipolis has a nice wrestling program. I really like the head coach. I also think their biddy league program helps a lot. It is run well, especially with the amount of kids involved. Lotsa luck to ya this year from a RV 1996 alumnus.

warren has ekelman, harlow, mason, dunfee, and rohr returning from last seasons varsity team. sampson has been working really hard this off-season and will have a good season. dustin harlow and trace knotts are coming up from the jr. high team this year. brian hendrix, nathan greathouse, quinton hubbard, david wellspring, and darren mcquire from the football team have all decided to wrestle this year. we need a 103, 112, and a 215.

I'm not sure what kind of youth program chilly has there jr high teams the last 2 years were ok logan always has some tough kids marrietta has a great jr high program that is sending 3 tough kids into the league this year. gallia has a great youth league and jr high team that is begining to feed the high school team. and jackson is working on there youth league as well not sure about warren but do no they are always well coached and have a nice freshman coming into the league this year that should make a little noise I see it this way depending on how well the team is filled out
1 gallia or marrietta
2 logan
3 chilly or warren
4 jackson

Warren has Dunfee and Mason to be the front runners. Wellspring wrestled two years ago.

Anyone know Marietta's line-up? Hupp is back and that little kid that will be a Senior at 112 or 119.

After seeing Gallia they are solid up and down the line. Athens as well is solid. I do not see anyone mounting a serious challange to these two. Warren lost its 275 for the season already. The junior high state qualifier has found out that Varsity wrestling is a whole different world that when he was beating up people last year. He has been on the receiving end a couple of times this year. So jur. hi. is nbo real barometer of how they will do.

Gallia is going to be a strong contender this year but not making any "take it to the bank" predictions have yet to see marietta they always have a good team and some of there incoming freshmen are very tough not your run of the mill freshmen. chillicothe always sneaks in and has some tough kids I think the league will be decided by how it is run . At any rate the southeast ohio kids have a statement to make this year and I think you will see it at the districts

how will they score it???
athens had the better team last year, but chillicothe was hurt by no bonus points being awarded in the early rounds..
