I think Logan Elm will take the number 4 spot if not higher. 9 of our 13 weight classes are filled with seniors who have lettered varsity since 9/10th grade. The others are filled by returning varsity letterman as well. Baker, Konkel, Crosby, Wolford, Gifford, Johnson, Laux, Fouch, Sherman, Brigner are all good leaders and are already teaching our younger guys what it takes to succeed. This by far is the most seasoned senior class that I have seen.

Chillicothe does have some talent returning. I could see them coming in around the 10 spot.

How are line-ups looking around the Southeast are most teams going to be full? WCH will be very close. Right now the only weight class not filled is 112.

Yes there are some freshman that will have an impact, but you can't factor that in until the season starts and they start competing at the High School level. I'm sure teams will move up and down Im just getting some talk started.Speaking of freshman what are some names of incoming freshman wrestlers that placed or qualified that could have an immediate impact?

Also the South Central Ohio League finished 8th also teams from that league that are in the sectional include Hillsboro J.H. State Champ, Washington C.H. J.H. State Runner-up, Miami Trace 1 qualifier.

Who are some of the qualifiers and placers from the TVC?

I would include Johnson from Logan Elm in the mix @112. He beat Lump from PV by major decision @ London. Also...the wrestling facility at Logan Elm is complete and man is it awesome! You can take about 6 of circlevilles and sit them inside it. It is way bigger than that of Ohio State and has just as many weights and equipment in it.

Andrew Dunfee, Warren was a DQ last year and should be in the mix at 140/145.

Ok, as a person who has no affiliation to any school anymore.... I must say that for chillicothe to be ranked in the top 10 over the likes of Athens is a joke. While Athens program is just now starting to turn it on, they are still a better team then some of the teams on the list, IE... NY (No disrespect Coach Yinger), Wellston, Chillicothe, Paint Valley.

Wrestlefan- no offense intended here, as I like the way that you back up your team, but you almost seem to throw them under the bus a bit, because they are not as good as you would like to think. By making some of the statements that you make, its almost as if Youre asking your kids (who im sure some of them read this) to back up your words, and quite frankly it is hard for them to do so. I hope you do not take this response with a grain of salt because it was not intended to be disrespectful, just an observation

The rankings are just somones opinion don't get worked up about them. And yes Athens is a top 10 southeast team. Athens and Nelsonville-York will be tested this weekened at New Albany.

Takedownfor2, That ranking list is from right when the season was starting. Going into the season Chillicothe had some solid kids returning. Since then, some of those kids are no longer with the team. The team is now short a few weight classes, and is very young, since they lost those experienced kids.

So yes you are right they do not belong in the top 10 any more, but before the season started it seemed they would be the front runner for a league title, and chance to qualify a solid number of kids to districts.

So there is some facts to help you with your opinion you had.

no offense at all taken..
however, i dont see anywhere that i said we were all that.. for se ohio, we are a decent team..
nothing spectacular..
we do have a couple kids that are spectacular and have justified it

What are "some of the statements that you make"????
really confused here

i wouldnt put us over athens either

This will sound like I am bashing Wellston, but I am not. They have proven an earlier point that they are not a top ten team. Their 112 is not a top 3 kid and they have no shot at winnig the TVC this year! Athens handled them this past weekend and they will not be able to beat the kids from Belpre and Waterford. New Lex and FU are really down this year! Well,,,,, Minnard is a beast at 119.

Johnson (LE) crushed Fairchild(WE) @ Circleville. It wasn't even a contest. Johnson pinned him in 2:46 after having him on his back the whole 1st period. When the second period came, even when Fairchild was put in the position to be in control, Johnson easily reversed and got a pin.
