This is two tournaments in 1 the first 3 rounds are individual 8 man bracket based on your perfomance in the 3 pools A very tough 8 points per win, B average 3 points per win and C Novice 1 point per win. What your wrestlers score is combined and they come up with the top 24 teams and then they wrestle two dual meets for the last 2 rounds each kid gets 5 great matches. Hope this makes sense.

This is the results of the individual tournament. In the dual meet tournament which pits them up in groups of 4 as they finished. Athens beat Caldwell and then Amanda to win the 2nd group. Nelsonville-York lost to Amanda 42-36 and then to Caldwell something like 48-24 not sure.

Placers in the A the toughest pool for Nelsonville-York are as follows 8 kids in each bracket. 1st 103 Mclaughlin, 3rd 112 B. Leitwein, 5th 119 C. Moody, 7th 125 D. Hook, 1st 130 Z. Hook, 3rd 171 R. Norway. Jacob Coon 215 6th in B Pool average pool and Seth Covert was 3rd 135 C pool novice pool.

Athens had Champions in the A pool 152 Mclaughlin and 189 Young some other results 103 was 7th in pool A, Dingess was 7th in 112 pool A, and Rodriquez was 4th pool A. Not sure of the others

Coaches thoughts:
The tournament was definetly tougher this season than last. I do not believe we wrestled well at some weight classes. But the competition was tougher than some on my team anticipated and that is why it is so important to wrestle tough competion to prepare you for those mentally and physically challenging matches in the post season. I thought that the Southeast was represented very well. Athens county had four champs, and think that says a lot. Their were multiple placers from the SE, and we need to keep raising the bar and pushing one another, and we will keep getting better and better.
