What teams are going to be there and what are some good matchups to watch for?

One of the top tourneys in Southeast Ohio.

The teams rhat will be here are alex,Belpre,Gallipolis,Meigs,Vinton County,and Waterford. Just from last years wreastlers, I would say 215 will be pretty tough, with Gravely from Gallia, Brandon from Vinton, Hayes from Meigs, I think alex and Belbre 215 were pretty tough last year also.can't speak on any other weight class

I would like to look into getting into this next year. Any room?

I may consider doing this next year. Do you do Teams head to head duals? If somone gets out let me know. The other option is Nelsonville-York hosting its tournament once again since the new school will be done. Sad one of the only tournaments left in southeast ohio is the Meigs tournament and Gallia tourney.

Yes! we wrestle teams head to head, try to fill empty spot with extras from other teams so they have a chance to wrestle and place. I will talk to the teams and let you know, i've been contacted from three other schools wanting to come also.

Have you thought of having 12 teams or more and running pools? Could maybe get alot of the Southeast teams in it as a Southeast Ohio kickoff. Just a thought.

Dec 12 at Warren the 17th or 18th year of the Burt Builders Tournament. Coach Schetter is looking to expand I believe. There may be 12 teams this year? Havn't heard how many exactly. Contact AD Jim Pifer at 678-2393 at Warren.

This is a pool Olympic style team tournament. YOu could contact Gallia Coach they come every year.

This was a great tourn. Very well run and the coaches room was awsome. Waterford took six wrestlers and left with 4 undefeated, 1 with one loss and 1 with one win and some close losses. Overall it was a great day. Waterford's numbers hurt them, but was a great day. Thanks for a well run tourn.

Congrats to the EAGLE wrestlers.

I will have all the results posted sunday, but teams went Belpre, Gallipolis, Vinton,Alex, Meigs, and Waterford.

Eventhough Waterford finished last and have very low numbers those 6-7 wrestlers are very dedicated and very talented tight bunch. I sat in the stands on Saturday and just watched those boy every now and then and everytime I looked at one of them they were having a good time with one of their teammates or working and talking about wrestling. Seemed like a good bunch of boys. Good Luck to you all !! Change is never accepted very well in life but after time everything works out just fine generally....again good luck boys.

great job eagles. great way to start the season. i thought everyone wrestled well. the upperclassmen showed good leadership. nice to see the freshmen contribute. had a couple of other freshmen dinged up and didn't compete. hopefully they will be back in action next week at the warren tourny. keep working hard guys! btw, i was also very impressed with the kids from waterford.

Does anyone have results from Saturday? Would like to have ind. Matches by weight class if possible. Also how did Belpre's wrestlers do?
