2010 Summer Wrestling Tournament

Registration Fee:
 $15.00 (Pre-registered) Entry fee & registration form must be received by July 3rd. to be considered pre-registered.
 $18.00 Walk-in to include Friday evening weigh-ins
 All participants will be entered in a Raffle for a $50.00 pre-paid gas card
 $25.00 For all returned checks
 Wrestlers may wrestle in 2 Divisions for an additional $10.00 fee per wrestler. Separate registration required for each division.
 Absolutely No Refunds.
Weigh-ins & Schedule:
 Friday, July. 9th from 6:00-8:00 PM & Saturday, July. 10th from 7:30-9:00 AM
 Wrestling begins @ 10:30
 Sorry, Absolutely no call-in weights, don’t ask
General Admission: (Cash only)
 Adult $5.00
 Students (K-12) $3.00
 Children Under 5 Free
Rules:
 There will be 3, 1min. periods for Div. 1 – 3 & 3, 1.5min. Periods for Div. 4-6
 Modified High School Rules will apply to all Divisions
 Tech Fall, (12 Point difference in score)
 “Sudden Victory” Overtime 1st point scored wins, no time limit.
 We reserve the right to combine weight classes to ensure @ least 3 wrestlers per weight class
 All weight classes will be Round Robin
 Officials will be sanctioned (Their rulings/Decisions are final)
Awards:
 Medallions for top 3 Placers in each Division
Weight Classes: (Proof of age must be submitted upon request) (Age as of day of the tournament)
 6 Divisions on 5 Mats
 Divisions as follows; (I, 6 & Under) (II, 7 & (III, 9 & 10) (IV, 11 & 12) (V, 13 - 15) (VI, 16 – 18)(2010 Graduates are welcome)
(Weight classes will be determined at the close of weigh-ins. Wrestlers will be placed in groups, to provide the maximum amount of competition.)

I have been feilding calls from all over. I have one kid confirmed from Georgia, another from Minnesota, numerous kids from WV, PA, and KY. This tournament will be tough as always. Also, this is in an AIR-CONDITIONED GYMNASIUM.

Thanks sooo much to all those who volunteered, officiated, participated and helped to make the 5th Annual Zanesville PAL Summer Wrestling Tournament a great success again this year. Numbers were a little low again this year, but with 2 other tournaments going on the same weekend and the economy, I kind of expect that. Thanks also to all those who had kind words to say on the forums, I am glad you had such a good experience at our tournament. Once again, we had some great competition from all over Ohio, WV, PA, KY, and even as far away as Georgia and Minnesota. I will have results posted by the end of the week.

FYI…Proceeds raised from this tournament is used to not only pay the bills, but to send Zanesville PAL wrestlers and boxers to competitions all over the country. Zanesville PAL is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe cost free place for youth of all ages to come and participate in structured activities, thus keeping kids off the streets and out of trouble. We do not charge our youth members anything to participate and we pay for their competitions, uniforms and most equipment. We operate strictly off of fundraisers, donations, and grants. This is why your support in this tournament is so greatly appreciated. All PAL staff members and coaches volunteer numerous hours every week of the year to keep this place going.
