Coaches Very important that you have at least 8 I believe when you weigh in at Sectionals. Even if they are hurt. This is a numbers year and will determine our sectionals for the next 2 years. If we do not want lose any of our sectionals make sure we have at least 8 at the sectional.

Coach Yinger may be able to go into more depth.

You are exactly right. The state considers a team as 8 or more that weigh in at the sectional level. If 16 schools assigned to a sectional and 12 schools show up with 8 or more wrestlers and 4 schools with 7 or less the Sectional will only be considered to have 12 teams entered. If DII wants to keep 2 Sectionals it is important to keep the "total team" to as many as possible 8 or more. Last couple years it has been around 26 teams.

Thanks! Do you think Terry would send a email out reminding all?

Alexander D2 has at least two teams with less then 8, so it will be seen as 9 instead of 11.
