The Vinton County Athletic Department and Golf Team will be hosting an 18 hole invitational, The Viking Tee-Off Invite, on Friday, August 7th, at Franklin Valley Golf Course in Jackson. This beautiful, tough but fair, rolling 18 hole course, with wide fairways and true greens is perfect for your high school player to test their skills early in the season. There is a spacious shelter house where we will gather for post-match meal and awards ceremony. Also, there is a well equipped and full amenities pro-shop for a young golfer's needs and a range for pre-match warm-up. Furthermore, this course is located just a few minutes from U.S. Route 35 and State Route 32 (The Appalachian Highway).

This will be an 18 hole event, 9 AM shotgun start, maximum 6 golfers, $150. More details to follow; however, as usual the lowest four scores to determine match winner and individual medalist award(s) will be given.
