Wheelersburg's Pierron Class of 2008 signs

Congratulations to Chad Pierron for selecting (and being selected by!) Lipscomb University, a D-I Christian based college with about 2,500 students located in Nashville, TN and competing in the Sun Conference.

Chad makes the third Wheelersburg Class of 2008 graduate/athlete to earn a D-I athletic scholarship, along with JB Blanton in softball and Drew Spradlin in basketball. Best wishes to Chad in Nashville, and much success as he pursues his goals in both tennis and academics at such a great university.

Many other graduates of this same class will also be attending D-II; D-III; and NAIA institutions on athletic scholarships. Good luck to them, also. Some of the other 2008 athletes include: Wes Lyon (SSU, soccer) John Riepenhoff (Capital U., football), Dusstin Proehl (?? football), Jordan Russell (Sinclair Community College in Dayton, baseball), and others I am not sure of, but know someone else on here can add them to the list!
