Athens edges GAHS netters, 3-2

Visiting Athens snapped Gallia Academy’s three-game winning streak, 3-2, on the GAHS courts in Centenary Monday evening.
The Bulldogs won all three singles matches while GAHS claimed both doubles events.
In the first doubles, Scanian defeated Jared Lester, 6-0, 6-0.Zack Stewart lost his second singles match to Loudal, 6-0, 7-5. Connor Christian lost his third singles match to Lambert, 6-2, 6-1.
Gallia’s Kelle Craft-Sean Saltzgaber defeated Burt-Darie-Chan, 4-6, 6-2 6-2 and Alex Gagucas-Riley Nibert downed Lopez-Petrik, 2-6,6-1 6-1.
Gallipolis dropped to 4-3 on the season with two of the three losses to Athens. The Blue Devils will take on Jackson at Jackson Wednesday in a SEOAL match.
After seven matches, Saltzgaber-Nibert remain unbeaten at 7-0.Christian is 4-2, Gagucas 4-2, Craft 3-2, Lester 4-3, Stewart 2-3,Shama 1-2 and Sebastion 0-1.
