Portsmouth, Burg, ND Swim Meet 12/30 @ SSU

Burg has dominated this season. It was a wonderful showing for a team that lost alot of members last year. We are seeing more teams build and strengthen their programs each year and the competition stiffens both locally and forward. OSU was anamazing event for the swimmers and we were thrilled to have so many Southern Ohio swimmers compete. It is difficult to compete when most teams around Portsmouth get one hour a day, 4-5 days a week, to practice. These kids show dedication. They have to drive to SSU each day. Minimum for a swimmer, 3 hours driving, swimming, stretching and showering. This is without benefit of bus transportation. THe parents deserve a pat on the back also for the extra expense that they incur for providing their children with these benefits. Good Luck Southern Ohio teams and especially Burg. Next year should be even better!!!
