Wondering ?????
Just wondering how other schools in our area get a good head coach for football ??? Someone that respects the players and treats them right.

In a dream world, the school would actively pursue EXPERIENCED coaching talent with a BACKGROUND IN EDUCATION for the interview process.
Of course there are a plethora of other factors, not limited to:
Employing an AD who is willing to take an active role WITH the coach on matters of scheduling, funding, OHSAA legwork and the all too important issue of equipment safety.
Encouraging the Jr. High & Pee Wee programs to not only incorporate the Varsity schemes, but to become a community with regards to social events & fundraising.
Avoiding nepotism & good 'ole boy tactics.
Having a teaching position with a decent coaching stipend.
Trusting the coach through the transition period.
