Gerald Cadogan stock rises after his combine workout

Gerald Cadogan/OT/Penn State: Scouts always considered Cadogan a solid athlete and he proved them correct today. Cadogan posted times of 5.03 and 5.07 in the 40 and looked very athletic on the field. His bench press total of 26 repetitions was a positive sign for those critical of his strength.

For those of you that dont know Gerald...he is one of the nicest young men. He is the type of kid that would be a GREAT role model for younger kids to look up to. Heck even some adults could learn from Gerald. Very intelligent, respectful....the whole package. I am proud to say he is a good friend of my sons. Gerald...our family would LOVE to see you in a STEELERS uniform......LOL. I agree with the post above that said who ever gets him will be lucky both on and off the field....This young man is a leader...not a follower.

I would love to see him in the Steel City as well. Big Ben needs all the help he can get in the pass protection. I think Gerald would fit very well in the Steeler family.

I had the privilege of watching Gerald grown into a fine young man during his HS days. My two boys went to school with him at Portsmouth. He even went on vacation with us a few times. Just a super nice person who has his head on straight and would be a great role model and a strong community supporter wherever he goes.

His time in the 40 doesn't suprise me. There was about 10 of us lined up on the beach to run a race and Gerald finished second amongst some very fast guys. He is very fast for his size. I'm looking forward to watching him play on Sunday's this upcoming season.


Congrats and good luck Gerald from your Wheelersburg family. We will always cherish those days in high school. You are a true friend to my boys and to our family.
