What type of offense does West run? I know Smithville ran on almost every play and only threw the ball 5-6 times. I don't know if Wynford will get out physicalled by West, Smithvilles O-line went 6-4 300, 6-3 270, 6' 230, 6-2 235, 6-3 245 something like that, they had 2 backs with over 1000 yds rushing one was 6' 215 and the other 5-11 195 both bruisers and very fast. They also had a QB that rushed for over 600 yds and after all this they almost got shutout.

Check out some of the quotes on this forum, can you say NO RESPECT for West at ALL!!!

http://excoboard.com/nosf/114469/1832045

These are just a few: "Ratliff - rattle is cage and he fumbles", "Wynford caught a break", "already played most physical team in Region 19 other than ourselves"

LOL...well teams thought that in 2002 also. We'll see what happens friday!!

RoyalNut thinks they played the most physical team? LOL

Ridgewood, West, and Valley would crush smithville.

And they are thinking Calpreps will show the outcome? LOL

St. Clairsville (OH) 31, Chesapeake (OH) 17

Perfect example.

St. C won 30-27 on a last minute FG, Peake fumbled and St. C hit the FG...just shows calpreps is garbage.

Valley is rooting for you guys!!

Goodluck this friday West beat the $hit out of them and represent southern ohio well. Use your size to win again this week.

I'm glad this West team was able to beat an NY team that played a bunch of "pansies".

I'm sure Wynford is tough. You aren't #1 in the Region because you are soft. West will show and they will hit!! GO SENATORS and GO SOC!!

I did think that, that is true. I had a friend that told me that West was a Finesse team. His exact words were "They are kinda small, but fast" so I assumed you guys were like a team we played a few years ago in the play-offs Fairview, they were not big but ran the spread and were fast as lightning with 4 kids that could catch the ball. They slung it all over the place. Seems that was not exactly correct info.

What kind of offense do you guys run anyways? I have seen video of your D, they look huge.

We are not as pass happy as that first game would leave one to believe. I think our coach just saw a weakness in Smithville's secondary and attacked it.

I fully expect this to be a good game.

Who cares. If you want respect go get it. Use it for motivation.

West will show up and I can guarantee Saturday morning wynford will know they were in a ballgame.

One thing, Wynford is a grass team also. So they may be a bit out of kelter with the field friday also. With the OHSAA rules on using turf fields in the playoffs, West is at a big dissadvantage most weeks in the playoffs and at away games with turf fields.

The on-sides-kick we lost and punts/kickoffs are affected greatly by the turf. One punt NY had was lucky to go 20 yards, hit and bounced twice that much. Would like to see them practice once at Portsmouth or something to work on special teams. Directional kicking is big.

RoyalNut wrote:I gotta tell you guys, I have to chuckle a little about that video put up on youtube of he Galion vs Wynford game. That was obviously made by a Galion fan. Don't get me wrong they are a very very very good team. That video however is the Galion highlight real for that game, which the video fails to mention Galion lost 22-20.
Was our closest game of the year. The kid on that highlight #21 (David Nay) for Galion had close to 2000 yards coming into that game. The kid is a stud running back, and their QB is very good as well. Scary part there is Nay is a Jr and the QB only a soph. But we held Nay to 63 yards on 18 carries. The Video does not show that part of it.
Yea I didn't expect to see a wynford td on that clip. looks like gallion could have been a contender in region 14 if they would have got any help from their schedule though the kenton mauks :122249 are in that region too. Is anyone on wynford being recruited because they definitely have the size?
