JUST GET IT DONE, IRONMEN!!! REPRESENT!!!!
Re: D3 R12 Semifinal - Jackson (11-0) vs. Jonathan Alder (11
Here's the thing, while Alders huge 300 pound offensive lineman are busy double teaming Jacksons small defensive lineman like every other team did this year our 225 pound linebackers are going to have a great game! :122246 If they don't double team those tiny little defensive lineman they will soon find out why all of the other teams did!
And by the way I bet they've not seen an offense like the Ironmen this season. They will score especially if Landrum is 100%. They can't stop them all if their all on their game!
WE BELIEVE! :aaaaa41
GO BIG RED! :aaaaa26

All props to jackson as they are a great team. Alder's line is solid and those big lineman can move. The "big boy" on the line also plays basketball so he isn't your typical hog in the trenches, very quick, and will be playing at the next level. One thing worth noting is that Alder held Ironton to 62 yards total offense. Make no mistakes this is the one game to watch this week.
Re: D3 R12 Semifinal - Jackson (11-0) vs. Jonathan Alder (11
Any local radio carrying the game ? My little radio won't pick up 96.7 in logan.
Re: D3 R12 Semifinal - Jackson (11-0) vs. Jonathan Alder (11
Alder is a good team but also a beatable team.
Jackson plays smart and contains the running game of Alder they can win this game.
Good luck IRONMEN and lets see you continue your run this weekend in these playoffs

Re: D3 R12 Semifinal - Jackson (11-0) vs. Jonathan Alder (11
I think that Jackson is the best team that Alder has face all year and I think Alder is the best team Jackson has faced all year. I think that Jackson knows Alder is a very good team and will be focused, determined and ready to do whatever it takes to beat them. I believe Alder will have no respect for Jackson thinking we are just another Southern Ohio team that plays no one and they think they will just smash us. If there best RB and LB isn't healthy I would put a bold prediction of Jackson by at least 14 maybe 21. If they have everyone healthy then I look for it to be a battle back or fourth and the winner is whoever has less mistakes and less turnovers.
Everyone talks how big there line is but that doesn't matter unless we are on our own goal line. The 3-4 is made for our D line to have speed, and if they are all size no mobility, that might give our quick D line lanes to go through. I honestly think our Lb's will win this game for us. Landrum, Ervin, Jeffers, Williams, Betschel, (Osborne will definitely be playing SS like a LB this week I'd say) will need to have the best game of there career defensively this Friday and I know they can do it. They all hit hard, rap up, and the entire defense flys to the ball.
Offensively we will need to stay balanced. We won't run right down there throats like we did Athens. I think that was part of the game plan last week, just make them tired keep running right at them because we didn't need to do anything fancy. This week I would say the play book will be opened up a lot more. If Osborne has a good game at QB and they have a hard time containing or getting to him then we should be fine.

I think Jackson would get stomped by Massie..
Get totally pushed around by Marysville...
Logan Elm . would . Run over and around you..
you have up 22 to ironton.. we shut them out in a mess it would have been like 42-0
you also gave up 32 to Logan.. ohhhhhhhhhhh ALDER SHUT THEM OUT ALSO.
Now you did shut out waverly, wellston, and vinton county... Do they play Varsity Football Down there.

Ironton did't Lose the game at Alder till the 4th quarter.trip4 wrote:I think Jackson would get stomped by Massie..

And Jackson play Ironton in Ironton which is a tough plays to not only play but to win.
And you can say what you want but when you play a rivalry game like Jackson and Ironton is and was since this is the last year they will play you can't go by the score alone.
Same as Jackson and Logan that is a league and a rivalry game.
So you take away the penalties and the sloppy ball handling Ironton could very well have beat Alder
but they never and that is part of football.
Ironton had been bad with turnovers all year and they have beaten them self's more than other teams have beat them.
So I do hope Jackson goes and has not only a good and safe game but they give Alder all they can handle and more and come out with a win so you can come back on here and say how your team should have won and why they lost.
Because as we all know these little hill billy schools just don't know how to play foot ball do they.

trip4 -
Alder also played Logan after they had their senior quarterback removed from the team. Considering all 3 of Logan's offensive TDs against Jackson were a direct result of the passing game, its hardly a fair comparison.
I'm as big of a Logan fan as you'll find, but trust me, Logan's score VS Jackson is deceptive. Logan really didn't deserve to score 32 points - Jackson had some mental let downs after taking a 35-7 halftime lead (remember Alder managed only 14 points in the first half).

Alder had to beat Logan and the refs. Worst officiating i witnessed all year. Very lopsided calling and I am not one to blame the refs for problems. However, Alder had several TDs called back. Absolutely, mind boggling calls like offsetting penalties resulted in alder losing 30yds and a down?

Jackson would not get stomped by Massie by any means, Massie is not typical Massie this year, I watched them week 10 and was unimpressed...anyway, J A has the advantage coming in, but I think Jackson is capable, good luck Ironmentrip4 wrote:I think Jackson would get stomped by Massie..
