Re: D3 R12 Semifinal - Jackson (11-0) vs. Jonathan Alder (11
Coate wouldnt take it easy on anyone. JA ran up the middle because it was working and Logan couldnt stop it. Score could have been easily higher but several big plays called back in first half.C-Bolt wrote:I wouldn't be the only one to buy that poopie,Logan radio announcers even mentioned it after the game as over,it was painfully obvious they barely passed the whole game and I saw tons of runs right up the middle, so what else could it be not wanting to show too much for future opponents ?????Space Cowboy wrote:If you really believe that any coach would do that, then I have some property, with a scenic view to sell you......cause if you would buy into that crap, you would buy anything.C-Bolt wrote:If the Ironmen faithful are hoping Alder will overlook them because they're from southern Ohio forget it,, Coach Coate will not let that happen, he knows all too well the Ironmen tradition and history,,this week in practice he will put the fear of god in his players about how good Jackson really is,they will be ready for bear,,and you can't just stop their running game their QB will pick you apart if you give him time, the Logan game was deceiving Logan didn't have the starting QB, but I also think Coate was easy on his old team not pushing too hard to score, can't compare them games to gauge this one,but I think if Jackson can limit their running game and not give the QB too much time to throw they can make this an interesting game,,I will be there can't wait to see this one...

The coaches select the All-SEOAL team.Ironman88 wrote:how do you make all league?
The coaches select the Top-22 players without regard to position.
Each team gets 2 Honorable Mention selections.

So who all won all league and honorable mention from Jackson? I'm sure Luke will probably get all district. I'm sure we will have a couple all state mentions as well.
I don't know why because we are playing a great football team in J.A. this week, but I have a good feeling about this Friday. The Jackson community has been fired up and the players seem focused. Everywhere down town you see businesses saying something about Jackson football outside and it's the talk of the town, I love it. Focus, determination, gameplan, talent and heart is what keeps you winning in the play offs and I believe they have it.
Shock the state boys

I just hope billy bob, trucker, skeeter, skinny and his brother, big skinny don't homer us with yellow litter all over the field.
The Logan game they tried, and the PIONEERS just kept CHANGING NUMBERS ON THE SCOREBOARD!!

Trip
the only thing going to be laying on the ground is black and white uniforms after they get knocked around by the Red. If the rb/lb has any symptoms of a concussion they better keep him out of the game because the Ironmen hit hard on d and the rbs punish whoever trys to tackle them. This game will come down to whoever has more fight in them. I don't think JA had played a qb all year like Osborne. Not your average qb, you might tackle him but you'll think twice the next time you do. Same goes for Drew Ervin and Morgan Landrum. They physically punish teams all 4 quarters and seems to take it's toll on teams a the game goes on. I'm sure alder does the same but I'll take Our Qb, Rb, Fb, Wr group over them all day. Just hope our Lbs fly around and hit like they did against Athens. If you are tied up with a defender of the Ironmen you better just go down because you have ten other players a second away for the cleanup shot coming. This is going to be one of the most physical football game o the year because of they way both of these teams play, I can't wait.

Re: D3 R12 Semifinal - Jackson (11-0) vs. Jonathan Alder (11
Check out page 3 and 4 of this thread for Jackson's All-SEOAL selections and for Alder's stats. LoganLocos and I have already posted that information.

Actual seating is a little less than that .Logan Daily had 3500 for home stands and between 1500-2000 for visting side, but lots of room for people to stand around would raise the total number quite a bit
