Funny to hear these Piketon kids on here talkin like their pro wrestlers. Just a little FYI, nooone is intimidated by Piketon for any reason whatsoever.

I was a powerlifter for CG for their two past state championships. All i know is that we were CLEARLY the strongest team out on the floor and it always showed up in the total poundage.

Redstreak10292, if you truly had a 1510 pound total, you were added to the overall score. That is a HUGE total and I'm sure it wasn't missed.

Coal Grove simply doesn't cheat at their meets, they are just better. I'm sorry if that offends anyone, but that is how it is in the big boy world. Take it as an inspiration and try to get better.

Besides, coach Jay Lucas isn't the one doing the totals for Kenton. It's called the State meet for a reason. I remember our state championships both came by something like 2000 pounds, and wouldn't you know that Piketon was there? :122249

Just stop kidding yourselves and let it be.

I have yet to understand what this has to do with football. . . Piketon's weight lifting results don't bear any resemblance whatsoever to their football results. . . nor do Coal Grove's for that matter

Sort of boring and bland, just as this forum would be without irrational and ridiculous posters such as yourself

My Nephew lifts for Ironton, he will be in the hunt for his weight class. He finished 3rd at the State meat last year. He's in the 155lb class and is benching 290.

A 290 pound bench press in the 155 class is very impressive.

What was his squat and deadlift? With a bench like that u would think he would've won.

A couple years ago there was a guy named Dan Maze who was 130 lbs and could bench 315 with his back flat. Anything after that he'd end up arching his back but still, 315 without the arch is mighty fine.

Well no wonder you guys are getting all these inflated numbers down there.

The last i knew if your back comes a mm off the bench its a bad lift. Hell if he was allowed arching his back he'd benched 350 that day. I dont know how many times i've seen him do that.

You can arch your back as high as you can but if the judge sees daylight under your butt it's a bad lift.

Jesus....

Well for starters i consider any part if your body leaving the bench a bad lift and i consider it "arching your back".
I dont know about everyone else, but i cant really arch my back WITHOUT my behind coming off.
