No way NY wins by that amount....not on PWest, not a chance.

They didnt have a bunch of turnovers against Meigs?

N-Y gets a home game in the 1st round. West will be tough but let's see if Little Davey can get off the snide. I thought the way they played all year they would get a first round win this year for sure but I was hoping they didn't play West right off the bat. Oh well, here's my prediction: N-Y 21 - West 17

This may be the better game.

I say the winner makes a run to the Final 4
That could very well be true...I think Lucasville Valley, Portsmouth West and N-Y are the best 3 teams...

NY 35-13
West +22? I'll take some of that action ALL DAY LONG.

I think this may be the best first round match-up in ALL of the OHSAA Playoffs. I think that highly of both teams. I think the Buckeyes avoid costly mistakes and hold on to win a heck of a ballgame, 28-24.

Nelsonville-York will have their hands full in this one, but after watching them play for the first time on Friday I was impressed with their talent. They will need to take care of the ball and not put themselves in bad situations with needless penalties, but I think that they have too much talent to lose two weeks consecutively.

No, they didn't have a bunch of turnovers against Meigs. Meigs kept it close tied 7 all at the half but turnovers were not the culprit. Now Meigs turned the ball over several times the 2nd half.

Would like to pick West, but it's hard when I know absolutely nothing about NY.

I do know we fumble alot on turf, for whatever reason. We can play 4 quarters in a mud bath and never fumble. Quite confusing.

It seems to me West plays better when they act as if they have something to prove, like against burg. Games like Valley, where I think we were a little full of ourselves, we struggle.

Time to step up if they want to advance. We are a good team. Good enough to go a long ways if they play determined and get some breaks. But they must play determined for 4 quarters like they did last night.

We have to sure up the penalties department. Almost 100 yards of penalties is extreme. Our kick coverage has to get better. And one thing I really really don't understand is why do we let our extra point kicker stand for all that time without stretching and kicking. He needs a net and needs to be kicking during the game. He is a good kicker. But it isn't fair to the kid to be stationary in 40 degree weather for an extended period of time and then go out for a crutial PAT. Would really suck to loose a game by 1.

I look for split broadcasts in this one. I'd say 105 does N-Y and 970 Athens.

IS it a turf or a regular field?
If it is a turf field id say west 21:20
IF it is on a regular field id see west having a filed day in the mud running behind their hogs who are all 3 years if not 4 year starters.

LETS GO WEST! Looking forward to seeing this match up should be a dandy. I dont know much about NY except they have a pretty rich football tradition and their 9-1 this season. Correct me if I'm wrong but I dont think they have fared well in the past in the playoffs against SOC 2 teams, pretty sure Minford beat them last year and Burg beating them a couple of times and one was really bad but not for sure, anybody have more info on that would be helpful. GO SIDERS!

I'm not sure what NY's record against Wheelersburg has to do with this game, but NY has played Burg 4 times in the playoffs and each team has won twice....

Series tied 2 wins, 2 losses
1981 Nelsonville-York (N) 14-0
1994 Wheelersburg (N) 28-7
1997 Nelsonville-York (N) 41-14
1998 Wheelersburg (N) 61-19

It’s week 11 and the Buckeyes are in the playoffs again can’t wait for this game, I think the Buckeyes bounce back from a tuff loss to Athens and get the win.

LET’S GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!
