10/28 H St John Central (0-9) [6:21] W 42-7
Beallsville lost to the only decent team they played, in Shadyside; I heard Hundred and maybe even, Papaw have openings on their schedules. Better go ahead and schedule them to make the WV victory tour complete. LMAO!

Glad to see Axe N Shield is still around. Looked for posts earlier in the year. Thought for sure there would be some posts during the season.

When I was a little boy we attended all of Sciotovilles games. One of my earliest memories is sitting on the lap of a family friend who would cover me with his big overcoat as I watched “men†who were larger than life. Superman didn’t hold a candle to Morris Gullion. Allen Lee was the biggest man I had ever seen. Gene Warren could kick a ball as well as Lou Groza (or so my little mind thought). John Ruley was a magician in a football suit. When I was at the one Tartan game this year, I wondered if the little boys with their Tartan jerseys on thought the same things. It is one of the reasons I am proud of Coach Gilliland, his staff and the team. They gave us all something to stand up and cheer for and it is more than wins and loses it is the little boys in the stands watching the heroes of fall. Good luck against Bealsville! I will be listening for the bagpipes in TN.

BTW I took a glance at Bealsville High School web site and is it me or do the school buildings look strikingly similar.

South Gallia has to travel almost to lake Erie on Saturday! That is a long haul! Almost 200 miles I believe.A-Town Big Dog wrote:I know nearly nothing about these two schools but I know this much, not too many schools will be traveling farther than Beallsville to play their game this week. Monroe Co. to Portsmouth...Wow! I guess the only plus for Beallsville is that this is being played on Saturday.

Beallsville #14 throws a nice ball and is really good at the med to short pass.
At least that is what I took in when I watched them this season.
There were two rec I thought did a nice job when I watched them #7 and #17
Overall they are very small.
The time I watched them their biggest guy who saw the field was #52 and he goes 6-1-230.
They like most D-6 schools are not deep at all, only 16 different players got into the game I attended.
I think this one will be a close game with the winner winning it late.
