Re: Gridiron Glory - Week 8 Coverage
I dont get to see a lot of games live so I watch for highlights on GG. As an NY fan I have watched the last 4 weeks and havent seen any coverage. Of course you can go to the web but they are hardly on TV. I would like to as an NY fan and hope the rest of the NY fans help me in not welcoming GG to any NY games the rest of the Year. Please dont jump on the wagon When the playoffs come around. Stay with the MVL and a select couple of teams in our area. Stay with them an stay away from us. Let the Athens Messenger, 107.7 and 105.5 cover them because they have been true to the local teams. Please accept our RSVP to stay away.

I watched last night and didn't see VC @ NY footage at all.. wonder why the change?
Re: Gridiron Glory - Week 8 Coverage
They cover a little too big of an area IMO.
They did show some Jackson/St Charles highlights and in their defense on this one....it was expected and was one heckuva game. NY should be covered often but I can see avoiding last night. They do seem to show highlights of some lower/struggling teams...but there is probably a rhyme for their reason. I enjoy the highlights....but even as a Jackson fan would like to see NY highlights every other week or so. That one dude makes me laugh so hard.
And why do several of them "smack" their lips every time they start speaking?

I was kind of confused by the fact they had the Southern vs Waterford score completely wrong - It said Southern 13, Waterford 12.
The final score was Waterford 32, Southern 19

And no Fed Hock vs. Miller either on the "extra point".
Oh, and isn't OU in Athens County? If you are going to give that much extensive coverage to the MVL because of OU Zanesville, the same could be said for OU Eastern in Belmont County. BTW - Isn't WOUC in Cambridge, anyway? Why not cover the ECOL then?
Covering the OVAC would be a huge stretch for these college kids, and you have two commercial TV stations in the Wheeling/Steubenville area that do a fantastic job of covering HS football in the Upper Ohio Valley. So, I can understand why, at least in that market.
Look at the line-up last night.
One TVC Hocking game, one TVC Ohio game (game of the week, woohoo!), one SEOAL game, one WV game (who give's a big rat's arse, WV has their own public TV stations), and TWO MVL games.
It is no wonder I don't even bother to watch anymore, just based on their priorities of who they are going to cover. And then top it off with the inaccurate scores. Whatever.

GG covered NY 3 times this year that I recall...That is terrible.. GG goes to Warren and people never even heard of of the show - lol....Do Parkersburg people even get WOUB?
The intro to the game of the week is longer than the highlights of the game and they waste too much time on the Fan of the Week..

After the LATEST print media incident involving GG — and no it wasn't even yours truly — I can PROMISE you that GG has been kicked off the planet as far as we are concerned.
If they are smart, they need not approach us EVER AGAIN!

Re: Gridiron Glory - Week 8 Coverage
Show hasn't been worth a sheet since Matt Barnes hosted, what, four or five years ago? He did a nice job, and they covered the locals back then.
Re: Gridiron Glory - Week 8 Coverage
Same here Alot of teams being covered are well out of the AREA...Just stay away...
Re: Gridiron Glory - Week 8 Coverage
Just a reminder to go south or east this friday. The MVL and the WV schools. Shouldnt hit up local businesses and cover out of area teams.
Re: Gridiron Glory - Week 8 Coverage
I understand that Gridiron Glory can't cover every game or county...I am just glad that these kids get out there and cover as much as they can. Keep up the good work..we r lucky to have a channel to watch it on.
