Thanks again, keyser_soze78, for posting the passing scrimmage information and for sharing the Laurinaitis write-up.

Haven't heard anything about this, but that's not to say it isn't true. Hopefully it's not, but Jackson has had a lot of trouble with things like this the last few years. I really hope that the Ironmen can avoid the off the field issues this year because they have been very costly over the years.

I have a couple questions that hopefully someone can answer. I recognized most of the kids at the 7 on 7 tonight, but could someone tell me who #22 is for the Ironmen. Also, I know that Dewey Stepp was out last year with an ACL injury. Is he playing this year because I'm not sure if I saw him out there tonight. I'm really starting to feel old now that I have to ask who some of the kids are since I know very few of them.

Looked like Coach Hall was playing a lot of different guys tonight. Hopefully this Jackson team has some depth that will allow most guys to just play one way. I was impressed with the arm strength of Wandling and Landrum also. Looking forward to the passing scrimmage next week to see how everyone is progressing.

#22 is Kip Winchester

Jackson did seem to play a lot of people, hard to say who is the front runner for positions just yet.

Thanks, BorntobeLOM.

In addition to my question about Stepp, does anyone know anything about the Rawlins kid who was possibly coming to Jackson from Portsmouth East? Did he decide to stay or is he at Jackson?

Hannibal,

I didn't pay much attention to them when they were playing against Logan Elm, but I thought they looked pretty good against Jackson. You could definitely tell that all three teams have things to work on, but I think that they all took away some positives from the scrimmage as well. Good luck to Minford this season. They should have a very good football team in my opinion.

Thanks for the info! Good Luck to the Ironmen as well

I was wondering the same thing about Rawlins on if he enrolled at Jackson or decided to stay at East

Ive heard he stayed and Ive heard he left so who knows, but if he stayed at East that will help them more then if he it would help Jacskon.

Good to hear. Maybe he just wasn't at the 7 on 7 or maybe I didn't recognize him since I haven't seen him for a while. Thanks for the information, kman.

I believe that Dewey was on vacation. We'll see him this next 7 on 7. We're heavy on running backs and linebackers which is good in that many will play one way and will help them to stay fresh for 4 quarters.

Thanks, camnott. That's certainly a good problem to have. It's nice to see a good bit of depth for the Ironmen. Jackson is going to be a relatively young team this season, so getting experience for as many guys as possible will only help in the future.
