Honestabe what happened to u saying west is terrible?? If you think they will win 54-6 over a good wheelersburg team u must think West is amazing now or something. West is a very good football team but so is wheelersburg

it's hard to believe this will be the last game played in the current ed miller stadium. it would have been nice to have one last home playoff game but that wasn't meant to be. the only thing to do is go out with a win and hope to get the help we need to creep into the playoffs.

as for this game. it will be a hard fought game between to rivals. i can guarentee one thing the winner will be wearing orange and black

piratefan that has to be a joke cause this is a close game everyear no matter the teams record.One could be 9-0 and the other 0-9 and that score would never happen. i have watched burg play 2 times this year and they got better has the year went on has they always do. I think west will win this game but it wont be by that much i would say 24-17 ,28-21 in that neighborhood. Could very well be burg on top at the end of the night but i hope not. Good luck to both teams and heres to an injury free game.

Mad-dogg you are right with that prediction they will be wearing orange and black the winners just hope the winning team has SENATORS on the front of thier jerserys.(lol) (hahaha)

Not a chance in hades Wheelersburg will lose the last game to ever be played in the original Ed Miller stadium. Simply isn't going to happen.

It may not be pretty, but they will find a way to win this game.

It wasn't "originally" Ed Miller stadium....
and by the way..... past records show that the Pirates won the 1st game ever played on that field but they are going to have to stretch hard to win the last one.

Burg seniors:
It's the last time you'll ever get to run out on to field in front of the home fans. You've done much better than many expected this year and you should be proud. All of you are a big reason that the underclassmen have improved. I saw the faces last Friday after the game. Every player played their heart out and expected to win but just ran into a better team. You left it on the field. Now you've got one more lesson to impart on your underclassmen teammates: How to play your last home game. I'm sure you'll do it well.

I don't think I ever recall a Pirate team in the 40 years I've lived here losing by 46 points and it ain't going to happen this Friday either.

You are right it was not ORIGINALLY Ed Miller Stadium, but it is the ORIGINAL Ed Miller Stadium. You might want to read the post before you correct it! LOL!

I don't think it will happen this week either, but I do remember the Burg losing by around 40 a few times in the last ten years or so (at least they were close to 40). I'm pretty sure Portsmouth's loaded team in 2000 hammered them pretty good. I also think the next year Ironton beat them pretty good. And I know in 01 the best offense I have seen in the SOC (the 01 Waverly Tigers) put a licking on the Pirates at Ed Miller in a rainstorm. I know there haven't been many, but there have been a few.

Best thing to do is to just ignore the post from Honestabe. Look for this to be a very good game, I just hope we spread it out some and have more balance on offense tonight, be focused and ready to play. I think if we don't have the balance and run the ball play after play between the tackles and not be focused and play like we did in the Valley game we will lose this one also. The Burg coaches always do a outstanding job having the right kid in the right spot at the right time. In 08 I think we had alot more talented team but they gave us fits in that game look for this one to be similar to that one. Hope for a good injury free ballgame.

I am really surprised there isn't more talk about this game. I know this isn't for the SOCII title, but Burg can knock West out of the playoffs and give themselves a chance to make it in and it is also the last game on natural grass at Ed Miller Stadium. I heard they will be flying a plane over the stadium just before kickoff to get a picture of the stadium.
