MVPs for the TVC in Football

Post by Howard Cosell »

I am writing an article in a local newspaper and could use the names of all the past MVPs in the TVC. Does anybody have this list?

Warpig, I corrected the misspellings, I hope. Thanks.

If anyone sees anything else spelled wrong, let me know.

Also, does anyone have a list of the MVPs from where I let off?

Mister B,

You have some errors of omission.

1969 - Mike Stevens shared the POY award with John Bayles of Warren (Athens Messenger 11/20/69)

1977 - Dana Gates shared the award with Gary Edwards of NY (Ath Mess 11/21/77)

1994 Ohio Off Justin Gail - NY Def Jason Gail - NY Hocking Off Matt Ross - Alex Def - Charlie Bissell - Eastern Josh McClelland and Joey Wright - Trimble (AM 12/18/94)

1995 Hocking Off Matt Ross - Alex Def Micah Otto - Eastern and Joey Wright - Trimble (AM 11/15/95)

1996 Hocking POY Charles Meek - Alex and Sam Sechkar - FH (AM 11/19/96)

1997 Hocking Off Josh Limo - Trimble Def Brady Trace - Trimble (AM 11/23/97)

1998 Hocking Off Robbie Cooper - Trimble Def - Brady Trace Trimble (AM 12/27/98)

Just trying to help you out some.

No problem with me. It always helps to check and cross check. Thanks for the hard work. We need to archive this somewhere.

We need to create a TVC Website and list stats and create individual team pages for all 14 schools. I have lots of NY info. but I only know very basic html code and cannot create a website of the quality that I would want for this, so I only hope someone with more advanced website design skills will take this project on.

Maybe you could ask Warpig to help you out. He does a great job with trimbles web site. I know nothing about web page design or I would jump right on it. We need a website though. :122245 :122245 :122245 :122245 :122245 :122245
I woder if the High School has a web design class? That could be a project or something.

I have plenty of TVC stuff that I would gladly make available to anyone who would start such a website as well. Don't know much about it myself.

Mine is mostly football stuff. I have every game ever played in the TVC documented as to game date and score. TVC records for each team for every season played and their over-all W/L %. I alson have a complete list of all TVC All-Conference teams with MVP and Coaches listed. Complete list of TVC champions os also available.

Here's some trivia for the real hard core TVC guy.

What is the greatest number of points ever scored by both teams in a TVC contest?

What is the greatest number of points ever scored in a TVC game by the winning team?

What is the greatest number of points scored in a shut-out TVC victory?

Who are the only two players to ever be named All-TVC in football for four consecutive years?

What team has had the longest streak of TVC games played without being shut-out?

If anyone wants any of my stuff, I would be glad to e-mail it to you. Just PM me, tell me what you want and leave your e-mail address. I have it all documented on microsoft spreadsheets that I can send out.

The best man at my wedding does web page designs on the side from his regular job. I could ask him what it would take to do this. i.e. time, money etc.

IF this could be done, would those people that have info, be willing to share copies of what they have pertaining to their schools and TVC involvement?

Drop me a PM if you are seriously interested only.

In the mean time, I will try and contact my friend and see what is involved.

Nelsonville-York Wellston final score in 2000 was 47-46? that would be 93 points

2003 Trimble 77 Southern 18 is 95 points.

Trimble's 77 points against Southern in 2003 is probably close to the most points for a winning team in a league victory.

As far as player All-League for four years, my first thought is Ben Robey

Warpig,

You're right about the 77 points by Trimble against Southern in 2003.

93 points by both teams is not enough and Robey was All-TVC three times not four.

Trimble is on a 40 game non-shut out league game streak.
