Trimble and Eastern voted against Belpre joining the Hocking. I wonder what the rationale was to that?

I heard the TVC is really wanting to add Marietta and Warren to the Ohio side now.

I am happy this time has finally come for SG. It has taken a while but we are finally in a league and have something to compete for during the regular season.

In recent years in football SG has done a pretty good job against its TVC Hocking competitors. In basketball it has always been good competition with Eastern and Southern and Trimble and Waterford when we meet up in the tourney. I expect lots of good games and good competition for years to come. I would just like to say thanks to the TVC for letting South Gallia in.

One more thing, I guess Trimble football fans willgetwhat they have alwaysasked fordurinthe2010 football season.

Since South Gallia will now have a seven game league schedule, what three nonleague games do you think South Gallia will try to keep for the first 3 weeks of the season? I bet there are some traditional rival games you would like to keep. At the same time, those games you want to keep would have to be against teams that do have openings in either Weeks 1, 2, or 3.

I hear the NY vs. Belpre game will remain as a nonleague contest. Warren will remain too no doubt. Meigs would be my guess for the third nonleague game to remain for Belpre.

My guess is NY vs. Belpre would be either the Week 2 or Week 3 game for both schools since the NY/Trimble and Belpre/Warren games start off the season.

When the reconfigured TVC Ohio schedule comes out, I sure would like to see NY vs. Athens in Week 10 each year!

I also think it would be interesting to see Belpre vs. Trimble in Week 10 each year in the Hocking!

To the best of my knowledge, Belpre has never played Southern or South Gallia in football. Belpre has never lost to Miller or Waterford in football.

When does South Gallia move into their new buildings?

Sweet! This is a great thing for the kids in South Gallia.

Where will they be located at? Near the existing school?

South Gallia should be in their new building at the beginning of this coming year. This is a good day for South Gallia.

Could there be more in the not so distant future?

If ever Warren had an opportunity to rejoin the TVC, now would be it. Partner up with one other school and seek admission to the TVC Ohio. Or, find three schools to partner with, and see what the league things about the 3 divisions of six teams each for 18 schools.

Unless something has changed at Warren in the last year, I'm assuming they still want in the TVC, since they tried to join last year but was turned down.

Funny, because that is exactly what you are doing.

Jackson and Gallia in the TVC Ohio would be good fits.

I'm not so sure about that with Warren. I haven't seen many of their sports programs besides wrestling, but I know they would fit in great with wrestling not sure about other sports but I would love to have them in the TVC. I can't wait for football season this is already getting started. Good Luck to all area teams.

Geographically, the only non-SEOAL schools that would work to be asked to join the TVC Ohio would be River Valley and Oak Hill. These are the only two non-SEOAL schools that would be within a reasonable driving distance for all involved. Several SEOAL schools would fit in geographically.

I just don't see any other choice out there other than SEOAL schools, River Valley and Oak Hill.

These schools have all applied for admission to the TVC in the past and have been turned down:

River Valley
Oak Hill
Warren
Jackson

Since Crooksville turned down the TVC offer, I do not see any other realistic options here - at least for an 8 team TVC Ohio.

Now if there were three divisions, then we could have a "big school" division and other options would become available........namely additional SEOAL schools if they were interested.

But if we had an 8 team TVC Ohio, I think the only options are two of these four - River Valley, Oak Hill, Warren, and Jackson.

Granted, Gallia Academy would be a fit too, but they have never once shown an interest in joining the TVC, whereas every other team I have mentioned has at some point shown an interest. That is why I do not include Gallia Academy in my realistic option for an 8 team TVC Ohio.
