Federal Hocking Lancers

Post by Buckeye27 »

Fed Hock went 7-3 last season and I haven't heard anything from there about the upcoming season. How are the Lancers and Coach Green looking?

They play football in Sturt? Really? I must have forgotten that

In all honesty, I know less about this team than any Fed Hock team in about 10 years. I've really not heard anything out of the football program this summer.

Here's what I do know:

Big losses on the line, both ways. Lost a great defensive player in Cuckler, big hole to fill there.

The majority of the skill players return, but their ability to use their skills may be inhibited by an inexperienced line.

I believe that Coach Green also has pretty much a new coaching staff. I've been told Springer, Gilders, and Cuckler have opted not to coach this year.

First game in Woodsfield is going to be a tough one. We will find out what the Lancers have after the Monroe Central game.

Good luck to the Lancers this season.

I was told that Torrence looked tough at QB during a 7 on 7 at NY.

Haven't seen Fed-Hock play in a few years since Lancers played @ River.

Won't say how opener will turn out but Monroe Central is usually ready when it comes to playing in front of Woodsfield crowd.

Heard MC looked pretty good in '7 on 7' with Bellaire, but then again, Bellaire's not the same program any more.

If I had to venture a guess, F-H should be a 6-4 team this season.

Any SEOPSters attending this game? I'm planning on being there.

49-0 loss at Monroe Central. Worse loss for Fed Hock in a long time. Young Lancers start out with a tough non-conference schedule. Could be a long year in Sturt.

Hope that they can regroup and rebound next week with Athens coming to town.

Lancers play 2 QBS in Ryan Rex and Brendan Torrance.Rbs are Wilder,Hart,Rex,and Hatfield. They are replacing the whole this season. The Lancer have a tough stretch with MC 49-0, Athens, Fort Frye, and Shenandoah.I think they will start 0-4.Maybe next season they will stay away from the PVC.

Next year they will have to drop two PVC teams, as the MC game was a one and done and multi-year home and home agreement with River Valley will be game one. Another non-conference game will have to be dropped as well, with Belpre joining the TVC Hocking next year.

Best way to improve your program is to play up against competition, which is why I liked the Lancer's schedule this year. Don't know if Fed Hock will keep FF or Shenandoah next year on the schedule from the PVC.
