OVC Football Previews Date?

Anybody know the date for the 2009 OVC football previews?

Not 100% sure but I think it's Friday, August 21st.

Matchups should look like the following:

South Point vs. Chesapeake
Rock Hill vs. River Valley
Coal Grove vs. Fairland

(Typically the matchups are dictated by which conference team you play in week#10).

I didn't mean any disrepect and I am not from Columbus very seldom go there. I was asking because I know this is a big event for the area and I was interested in attending.

It's all good.
I was talking to a college coach I know and we started talking about Southern Ohio and a area in Kentucky I compare it to as far as getting little or no respect and he agreed.

I was also told another thing they have in common is not many players fill out the questionnaires and return them.

I have also heard this sad tale.

They usually start at 6pm with the other games to follow.

I don't like going to them much anymore simply because they are in no way indicative of how good the teams are going to be in a given year. All that can happen is maybe someone gets hurt.

I look at it like I do the NFL preseason............... After 8 months of no football,..... It's football.

And as far as the comments about injuries,... You could look at scrimmages and practice like that too. However, I'm sure if it were up to the coaches, they would prefer to play two full scrimmages against non-league teams as opposed to one scrimmage and one half scrimmage (2 quarters).

I agree that you can't gauge much from the previews. Coaches keep it basic, and start rotating starters mid-way through the 2nd quarter.

With the new rules, RH now plays Minford, S.V.(jamboree game), and the pre-views. I guess they will find out really quick when they take the field vs Minford.

As soon as the date and location along with time is confirmed I should be able to check my schedule and see if I will make it down for this one.

I don't mind the previews. . . whether it counts or not, it's still FOOTBALL!!!
But I think I might head across the river to catch the Ashland/Greenup County game that night.
