Some of our more loyal fans who are there year in and year out choose to sit on the other side because it's the best view and they let the parents and kids have the home bleachers.

Our home bleachers are always filled. It is normally parents of the players, band, and cheerleaders. Also the student section.

Sorry if it offended you. Hopefully within a few years we will have our new stadium and HUGE home side bleachers and it won't be a problem anymore... but I don't see it as a problem.

Meigs looked very good on both sides of the ball in their scrimmage against gallia...they forced turnovers on defense (which some say wouldnt be good)...and looked very explosive on offense (with a 70+ yard passing strike) not to mention their sprinting champ in the back field

So I think if meigs plays smart, they will have no problems

BBallin Fool, Coal Grove will have a good defense ,physical but they historicaly have trouble defending the pass and I think that will be the difference in this game .

Hopefully it will do some talking. . .

As I said, CG should win this game. . . but what should happen isn't always what comes to pass in high school football.

I initially picked Coal Grove in my weekly pickems. Then I heard they looked really out of shape against Ironton, so I changed to Meigs. Then I hear they looked like a million bucks against Fairland, so I dont know who to pick.

It is kinda the way Coal Grove football has been over the past few years, never knowing what team would be on the field each Friday night.

Who should I pick in the pickems??? :(

Should be a close one
If Meigs uses their heads and limit penalties, they should come through with a win.

Meigs' passing game will be the difference!

Im going to pick Meigs in this one. They have some of the best skill position players around. My only concern is the defensive side of the ball. Even with that said i think Coal Grove's defense wont be able to stop Meigs' balanced but very explosive offensive attack.

too much offense from meigs in this one. but coal grove will keep it close. possibly the best game in se ohio opening night. a late score makes it look easier than it actually was.

meigs 31
grove 20

Hope Meigs come out fresh...you never know after an hour and a half+ bus ride..
but I'm sticking with Meigs and their passing attack to put up winning numbers

If Meigs passes they could win handily,Coal Grove will try to run and control the clock I see Meigs getting some stops and making it hard for Coal Groves run attack to catch up. Low Scoring favors coal Grove in the 20's I see Meigs by at least 10.
Coal Grove hasn't seen a little water bug back like they see in Jeremy Smith he is impressive!

Early in the season who knows?
