Congrats to the Dragons and good luck the rest of the way. This goes to show that the OVC is pretty solid this year and does not get enough respect.

Can't give up 39 points per game and win. IMO, this should level off in the league though except for a couple of games. Meigs will end up 6-4 this year and miss the playoffs. Too bad the defense can't at least be respectable enough so the offense doesn't have to do it all.

Wow.. What a game. Congratulations Fairland players! [/b]When i say Fairland Players I mean the players. Fisher and Bloomfield created plays out of the dirt. They might be the most underated duo in the tri-state. Fisher threw 4 tds tonight and had over 200 yrds in the air. Also i Int on defense. Bloomfield had 3 tds all coming threw the air and the game winner of 50 or so yards completely out running the meigs deffenders.
You can tell Fairland Coaching staff is new an lack of Varsity experience. Not much disipline goes on the throughout the game. Often at times it looked as if the players did and lined up where they wanted and never have i seen any game adjustments in the 2 games this season.
Hats off to Meigs county. They can score points in a hurry and will win several games this season. Their running game is solid. Great running back, Quarterback will play at the collegiate level if given the opportunity, can throw from anywhere on the field. Nice to have a 6'5" athletic wide receiver as well. he had some huge catches on the night.
Back to the game and Fairland, I as a fan and previous varsity coach have never seen so many quarter back sneaks in a game. i do believe that Fairland has 8 more games in the season. I would never have my quarterback take as many unneccessary hits in the second game of the season. You have one of the best backs in the county. Hand the ball off to him. I bet Bloomfield doesnt have 25 carries in the 2 games combined. I would find a way to get him the ball. If Fairland converts 2 or 3 first downs vs Portsmouth West i believe they would be 2-0 on the season.
THe boys created the plays and did what they had to do to win and I as well as other Fairland fans are extremely happy for them. They have the athletes to win. Its just a matter of organization and putting it together. Look forward to the remainder of the Season. Congrats Dragons! Good Luck Meigs!

are you kiding me Jefro? No adjustments?? Maybe thats why you WERE a previous coach. I seen so many adjustments. They took what Meiges was giving them and the defense at the end? Come on, you gotta do better than that!!! That is the promblem with Fairland. Everyone always wants to put down the coaches instead of backing them. Get over it and support the team. The team does include coaches. Your funny.

This was a great game . The first qt. was an offensive explosion the first two play from scrimmage went for long tds. I 've been waiting for 4 yrs. for the dragons to win a game like this. In the past they would have lost this game but this team dug deep and Bloomfield would not be denied on the last td. Meigs is a very talented team with a great qb. and one of the best backs in Smith. I just hope everybody keeps on dissing the dragons. Fisher threw some very nice passes and the D played great. I also thought Sowards ran very hard tonight. I also was impressed with the spotsmanship by both teams. After every tackle they helped each other up and smacked each other on the helmet. They played the game with mutual respect for each other. The way the game should be played. Bloomfield had 3 tds receiving and one on the ground. I wish Meigs the best of luck the rest of the year. GO GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jefro Munro, you must be the _ _ _ that the coach ran off from the practice field. Let it go man! You were there, now you are GONE! Why are you not coaching there any more? Probably for the same attitude that you show on a prep sports thread. You need to just back off belittling the coaches, you're not going to get the job back. Fairland has some excellent players, and a coaching staff that could use support in creating a winning attitude in the district. I'm not from there, but my son is friends with some of the coaches. He thinks it's a matter of time before they are competitive year in and out.
