Week 2 is going to be a difficult row to hoe. I sure hope I am wrong. I really want to see us turn the corner.

shenandoah has had some good teams in the past. not sure about this year though. saw they squeaked by frontier last week 20-12. this game should be a more equal matchup for the eagles. take nothing away from warren, they have a very good team, belpre was simply outmanned last friday. our guys put up a good fight, but a school as big as warren should be able to beat a school belpre's size. keep working hard guys, it will pay off. keep your heads up and take it to the zeps this week.

I've gotta agree with that, I didnt see much heart, hopefully it was just first game jitters an for players to come back be healthy an eligible soon then maybe we can get some wins. I dont think im going to make the trip this week or go to the home game next week because next week PHS plays the #1 team in WV South Charleston, but I may go to the next game at home. Id say it wouldve been better if we dropped down to the TVC-Hocking division this year. Goodluck Eagles.

i think they did put up a good fight. they didn't quit. warren was just the better team. as the old saying goes, "whatever doesn't kill you will make you stronger". there are lessons to be learned from a game like this. emphasize the positives, learn from and work to get better on the negatives and keep a positive mental attitude. the season is only 1 week old, still a long way to go before all is said and done. keep pluggin' away guys. shenandoah is the most important game of the year because it's the game you play next. stay focused, work hard and good things will come.

go eagles!

After watching the game friday. I must say this is the thinnist Belpre team I have seen in years. (Numbers). They were dinged up before the game and got two dinged during the game. Warren has been in the same situation. Thy could put good athletes on the field but had no depth. And just plain got wore clear out. We have been on the other side of that kind of score many times in the last few years. So hang in Eagles and keep the faith. THere will be better days. Just maybe not this fridaynight.

Good luck to Belpre. After the beatdown Warren gave you last week, you'll need it.

Come on Eagles, if everyone plays with as much heart as Eric, we could turn this thing around.

Go Eagles.

Seems to me if we were buying refs,we would never get beat 56-0 by anyone.
If our boys play hard and use the skills they have they can beat any team on their schedule. If we happen to win more than one game people like Fat Tony will say we bought the refs rather than say the kids played up to their potential and played good enough to win the game.We know better,GO EAGLES!!!

Nobody said they didn't play hard or they don't use their skills. And nobody said anything about coaching or parent problems. They can win ballgames by continuing to play hard and use the skills that they have and they have no need to "buy refs".People like you who can't spell "straight or strange" are always trying to instigate problems on this forum with the Belpre people. You need to leave the Belpre program alone and worry about your own team whoever they may be.

You are the one that said if they play hard and use their skills they can beat anyone on their schedule. Then to go out and get beat 56 to 0,somthing just dont sound right to me.But goodluck anyway.

I don't see a coaching or a parent problem. What I see is a small squad reduced even further due to injuries and grades. Once some kids get healthy and others get their grades in order, we will be better.

Take 4 two-way players out of your lineup and there goes a total of 8 of your 22 starters on either side of the ball. Then you have to move your other starters around to fit the subs in and the next thing you know, you have a lot of folks playing positions that they are not very familar with. Few teams can over come losing that many people. JMO.

LETS GO EAGLES!!!
