They would be a D6 school in enrollment numbers if they were located in Ohio so they do very well against schools there own size or a little bigger in Ohio but it wouldn't be an even field playing the Athens, Meigs and N-Y's of the world every year because of sheer numbers. They did play Athens pretty even for a half last year before they got worn down.
Re: Wahama WV
Wahama plays Athens in Mason on October 30.
They have a lot of talent and a potent offense.
William Zuspan returns a quarterback for his third season. He has a strong accurate arm and is very quick. He has two big targets in TE Colin Pierce @ 6-3 and WR Tyler Kitchen who is also 6-3. WR Isaac Lee is also a good receiver at 6-0 and jumps very well. He also has good speed.
They have two very fast backs in Micaiah Branch and Ryan Lee. Zuspan is also a threat to run.
The line is anchored by veteran tackle, 6-1, 310 lb Kevin Klingensmith.
The game will be: Live on 'The Frog" 92.1 FM

Re: Wahama WV
I look for this to be a good game. Athens may be better than
last year but so is Wahama. The Falcons probably could have
done a little better last year if the game wasn't played in a monsoon.
If the field is dry this year it could be an interesting game.

You live to close to Meigs co. apparantly, If Athens is still healthy when this game is played it won't even be close.

You are correct, and it shouldn't be. D-VI school against D-II. I hope Athens isn't getting too big for it's britches because being in the TVC Ohio with smaller schools and playing WV small schools will not put them in the Ohio playoffs even with a 10-0 record by my calculations.

Re: Wahama WV
We will see exactly how much Wahama can beat up on the Hocking next year when they officially join the newly expanded 9 team TVC Hocking Division!
Wahama, South Gallia and Belpre will join Trimble, Miller, Federal Hocking, Eastern, Southern, and Waterford. That should shake things up in the Hocking next year!
I doubt Wahama will play TVC Ohio schools in the future. With only 2 non-league games available, I'm guessing Wahama will play two schools from West Virginia with those games???
If the Wahama story doesn't make the local newspapers by tomorrow, it will pass the record time set when Belpre and South Gallia joined the Hocking before it actually made the papers! Why is the media snoozing on this story?
