O, OK, I don't believe that NY has been tested yet.
Maybe this is the one that will test them... Don't know yet that is why we play the game.
I also know the "on any givin night" theory.
Last week against Logan we had some starters that had been bitten by the flu bug and I for one was worried.
They did a great job considering.
When we enter league play we enter with a target on our back and everyone plays us with more intensity.
We must play each game from here on out with more intensity also, and not have ANY let downs.
ONE GAME AT A TIME
GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

I actually got on this post to talk about football, but after reading this crap I will just say in the game of class, Wellston wins in a blowout. On the field Wellston is very capable of not only staying in this game but winning it, however that would take something that the boys in Blue and Gold have not done yet this year and that is put together a whole game. But if we execute, cut out the penalties and play as a team It can be done. Wellston 35 Buchtel 31.

I'm not sure how wellston wins the class battle. Apparently you're not aware of one of your posters is constantly calling us the buchtel buckeyes as if that really hurts. I think the yellow rockets is just as
Silly but I think you'll find it sticks now.

I hope the kids from NY are not reading this or they could be too bigg of heads. They need to stay even keel. Wellston is a good team. IDK if they are the best they have played yet, but they are good. The problem with Wellston is they may be just a running team, not able to throw the ball much. I feel you need 50-50 balance to beat them.

King of Kings wrote:U mean Ny finally plays someone with an above 500 record? Funny how I see NY bashing other teams on threads about their schedule. The teams the bucks have played is 8-16. They have played some not very good teams this year. They are just above Alexander in this regard atleast this season.
Ready has over a 500 record....3-2...

All Ready has is the Hardy kid (running back) and not much else as they are way too small. Newark Catholic is going thru growing pains and has a good freshmen class coming up. I said in on an earlier thread three weeks ago that I actually think N-Y will win a first round playoff game this year. With Reg. 19 being stacked with northern teams Wynford, Smithville and Hillsdale to name a few along with perennial contenders Ridgewood, Valley, West and Wheelersburg from the south it will be tough for N-Y to win a second round game. They'd better not slip up against Athens because the home field advantage could be lost in that one game alone. Vinton, Alex (has played no one), Wellston and Meigs in league play should provide token opposition this year from what I've seen. IMO, I see a 10-0 N-Y team getting knocked out in the second round this year which is better than years past.

I don't mind a lil pre game trash talk, I think it makes the game more interesting. As far as class goes steelcurtian44 I know both teams respect each other and just like to get under each others skin, It's all in fun

Like the confidence in the kids, but may be misguided this time. N-Y plays 8 kids one way. The three that go both sides of the ball get rotated out. 5 other running backs besides starting tailback. N-Y is deep this year and this senior group is a close bunch of players. They have a rare attitiude, that is they don't care who gets their name in the paper, whatever it takes to win. Watched Wellston a couple of times. Prater should be concern for any opponent, but his is one player. Wellston had their chance for a win last year, no dice. Much better N-Y group.
