I thought they played the Buckeyes this week. Are you referring to the Pedestal Lions? Anyway I think the Buckeyes and Rockets Play this week. The Rockets have a Big Ten Player. The Buckeyes have a few kids that could Play D3. A big ten player in a TVC game should dominate the entire game from start to fininsh. NY should be the underdog..

One Big ten Player cannot Dominate a Football Game alone, he can have a good or even great game but cannot dominate on both sides. basketball maybe, baseball (pitcher)yes, he will get his tackles, and focus all you want on him on offense, the more they key on him the less they focus on the others.

ok I guess i'll get my say in on this one.

Nelsonville is a good group of kids with great swagger on the field they play hard every down and execute extremely well which is a great thing for them. They have great balance and every play they use on offense builds off the other which is different than lining up and just running it down your throat it keeps teams guessing i like that.

Wellston is really starting to show some more balance offensively last week Prater had 204 yards through the air on 14 completions while they also had a little over 300 yards running which is better then 80 yards passing and over 200 running imo. also Wellstons d-line does there job every play so does the secondary and lbs. they are starting to get some confidence also.

Both teams are starting to roll and really work together which is something nelsonville has always done and it is something Wellston is establishing it will be close no predicition on this game good luck to both teams

Every week we are told "This will be the best team NY has played this year". And every week the game is over at halftime?

I will say this, Buchtel would have never scheduled Logan if AMYX was still there, don't know much about Ready but Trimble ain't lookin too hot this year. Rankings mean nothing. Get your smack done here, we will bring ours to Buchtel on friday!!

I hereby declare Nelsonville-York the #1 AP poll champion "South of I-70" at the midway point of this, the 2011 football regular season.

Come on now, I'm just saying the AP Poll does not and has not meant much over the years. Look at how many "AP" football titles Massillon has and they never won "1" on the field of play. That's rediculous and you know it. Anyway, I've seen the Ready and Newark Catholic games and N-Y outsized, outnumbered and ran over - around - and up top of them and they didn't know what they were hit by until looking up at the scoreboard after the games. I still think N-Y will go 10-0 and win a first round playoff game this year. Hey, that's an improvement on my outlook on the Bucks but that's JMO. The Athens game should be OK but the rest of the season will be, well downright "snoozy" if you ask me until week 1 of the playoffs. Good Luck Bucks !!!!!

No, not really. I'd like to see a second round game with say Wynford or Ridgewood somewhere around C-bus here and see what happens. Gahanna would be a good field for the Wynford game and Zanesville or Sheridan for the Ridgewood game taking into account proximity and geography . (I was on the Sheridan sidelines, in the press box and in the locker room last week for the Cambridge game and they have a completely new turf field and all new bleachers on both sides. I hope they put in to host some playoff games because the stadium is great). Thought for the future, I'm sure Coach Culver would schedule N-Y if they would want to ink a contract. He is originally from Pomeroy, went to school in The Plains up through jr. high and was head coach at Trimble in the 70's before going to Sheridan so I'm sure he wouldn't mind rekindling a new rivalry with N-Y. :?: (This week: N-Y 35 Wellston 14)

I am still at a loss as to why all these Wellston fans are saying they are going to Buchtel for a football game, I think they all will be lost, I for one will be going to the City of Nelsonville to watch the NY vs Wellston game considering the school sits in the City of Nelsonville!!!!!!
lol sorry just had to try and be funny.

GO BUCKS

I think they are saying it because they only want to play the players who live in the Buchtel Village Limits, as they see this as their only hope for having any sort of chance of winning this game.......or at least keeping the score somewhat close enough to be in the game at the end! However, I have no idea where in Buchtel they think this game will be played! They will show up somewhere that is not Boston Field if they will be in Buchtel!
